My folks had a ESSO service station in the 50's and 60's and we used those, along with a bristle brush to clean tires as part of the wash job. Worked great then too.
I have 2 of them after I saw mechanics use them with Brake Kleen for spraying greasy or oily areas/parts. They are extremely reliable, you can get different nozzles from them, and entire rebuild kits if you wear them out. Best money I ever spent.
We had the bright idea of running paint through one of these back in the 70's. Fail! But they worked great for WD-40 and etc. So it wasn't a loss at all. Good video.
These are amazing. You can buy one of these and a gallon of various fluids for the cost of a case of most of cans and then never have to screw around again. We use them at work for brake clean and I bought 2 of my own for home use. Even though I don't go through as much at home, i just like them that much. Added bonus is that it's a lot more environmentally friendly too, not only all the extra cans, but the majority of pollution from any of these chemicals is more from the propellant than the brake clean or penetrating spray.
It might providing you use the P602 or P302-B nozzles, but if you're thinking about doing something like spraying the underside of your truck or car as an anti-rust preventative, then I suggest you look elsewhere. These cans suffer from the exact same shortcoming that regular aerosol cans suffer from in that, once you tilt them past a certain point; they'll just spray air and not any liquid.
$50 for the sprayer ~$35 for a gallon of PB at Harbor Freight these days = $85 for a gallon of sprayable PB Blaster A dozen cans of PB Blaster costs almost the same and is probably about the same volume, unsure because measured by net weight. But, I tihnk that they cost so much--understandably, people need to make money--so if I did bu it, it would be a lifetime investment for sure and its more easily justifiable for those who work regularly in shops and stuff. Wish I could say I was one of those people living the dream working away in cool shops. :) Anyways, thanks for the awesome video!
Great review, thank you. I don't have an air compressor so how many pumps do I need to go with a bicycle pump and would that work? Also, your spray was huge. I am spraying small pieces of plastic maybe 1ft by 2 ft rectangular. If I put less pressure will there be less of a powerful spray? Maybe like 5 pumps? I would rather keep pumping and have a nice controlled smaller less powerful mist. Would that work?

One major problem with these. You can't buy just the seals for the nozzles or the top cap. They want you to buy the repair kit for almost $11. Then you get all these other parts, when you only wanted the seals. So basically, these don't last forever. Also if you use CRC brake cleaner, it will corrode the inside. You get little black bits which clog the nozzle. Then you have to remove the nozzle to clean it. Then guess what? You can't buy the seal for the nozzle, because you wore it out removing it.
Oof. I bought one and figured I’d use it for brake clean. It seriously corroded the inside?? Kinda strange since the aerosol cans are metal, too. Unless they coat the inside or something. I wonder if there’s a list of safe chemicals to use. Maybe CLP if not brake clean?
