Howdy ; New viewer, just want to ask if you've mentioned the way you rig up. Looks like a basic hook, split shot and float. Appear that you have float/cork set at about 2 -3 foot and a few inches between the hook's knot and the split shot. How heavy a weight? 1/8 1/16 or less? Tell me about the pole you're using. I try to hold the fish up so everyone can see. This is one of my older videos that I was still learning. All of my newer videos you should get a clear picture of the fish that was caught. I'm trying to improve in every video that I create. Most of the time I fish with live crickets or worms. I am not sure what exact fish you are talking about in the video. I usually rotate both baits. nice fishing, I was stationed at Shaw AFB in Sumter, but took the reduction in forces early retirement to be here for my kids after returning from Desert Storm. Kids are grown now and i sure miss the fine fishing down that way. I live in Walhalla SC at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains where we enjoy trout fishing. Are the crickets down there real small? the past 2 years up here in Indiana they are really small and I just wondered if it was the bait shops here cause the smaller one live longer.

Curious to know what is your limit on pan fishing for as breams, blue gill , nut cracker, and I thought you call one a Madison.. which in northern Louisiana we call jankiey pen, and breams. Which we don't have a limit on like crappie or bass

The little pee dee river starts around laurenburg ,north carolina and travels all the way into south carolina where it joins into the big pee river near yuahanah .It is 116 miles long.I usually fish here in s.c near hwy 378. Im curious about the water depth in the places you fish around the cypress trees, what depth you feel is necessary for best results, and how does the warmer weather/water affect that? Here in Florida there are some places i fish having the cypress trees, and lots of them, but for the most part the water depth in those areas runs from 1 to 3 feet max. i tend to shy away from them for that reason. I have a Jon boat set up so that i can run the outboard in a foot of water, so thats not an issue.
Ernie, the areas I fish are about the same water depth. I usually fish around 2-2.5 ft around the cypress trees. You will be surprised to the size of fish that you will catch in shallow water. There is lots of bait fish there for them to feed on. There is also lots of fish where the water goes from shallow to deep. I hope this helps.
