Dylan is taking it one step at a time. He didn't say we'd win the championship next year, just that we'll make the playoffs. That kid is gonna be special
I agree we need the portal help for O-line in 2025. However I'm tired of hyping up recruits out of high school and then after a couple years, more transfer players are brought in for that specific position. I'm not against transfers, but believe more offensive consistency will be there if players are developed and don't transfer. - Was very disappointed to hear Lloyd entered the transfer portal but not surprised by how few catches he had this season after last year. 1. - I'm optimistic that Holgorsen will get the offense rolling. I think they'll be top 20. Very impressed by progress and consistency improvements since Holgorsen took over as OC. 2. - yes I think the defense will maintain their level of play 3. - I think the special teams will improve to be average next year
Hey Adam! Tht helmet to your left... 🔥 That rose.... going through that N. Boom! I already know but... BUT. DO. THE. PEOPLE. KNOW! Would love to hear more about that helmet. :)
I think having Holgo as OC is a boon in and of itself. Ppl know Dana, he's definitely one of the brightest offensive minds in cfb and I think that will help attract better athletes
Totally agree with you on the offensive line and special teams. A really good offensive line can make an average running back look great. Conversely, a poor offensive line can make a great back look bad and a really good QB look average! On special teams, why is it that we use a three man block (most other teams only use two) which takes four players off the field for punt coverage???? Even with three blockers we are still getting punts blocked (how is that possible) and it really affects our ability to get max participation down the field on punt coverage! I will admit that I never really thought that much about the long snapper until the last several years of absolute chaos on those snaps. I felt bad for Buschini and our field goal kickers (and the holders) because it was rarely their fault. It was normally a bad snap which handcuffed the holder and the kicker. Until we get really good offensive line play and shore up the inept special teams play, we will continue to struggle to win any close games. Last comment, how are we able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in so many games? A Nebraska curse, fear of playing to not lose, or just not having that killer instinct to put teams away when we have them down in the fourth quarter????
I would also like to add that even though we may be less experienced at several positions, we could be better. For those old enough to remember we had a backup qb who stepped up whwn Tommie Frazier went down i really feel that greater things are coming
We went toe-to-toe with tOSU and dang near won. If we had an offense, we very well could have...that alone gives hope, even if we squeaked by teams we've should've railroaded
Agree with just about everything you've mentioned...BUT, we can't have a defense the same as last year. We need to improve on pass defense. We did well on run defense, but gave up 300 passing yards to BC.
2024 Dylan finished 6th in passing in the Big 10 with inept offensive coordinator for 80% of the season. I predicted top 3 and was off but next year Dylan will be a top 3 QB if not #1 in the Big 10….book it
Im kinda stupid but i believe that some of our offensive linemen who played a little or not at all will really step up next year. Do we need some portal help, absolutely but i believe the cupboard is snt as bare as it seems
1) With a whole offseason to work with the players, yes. 2) I believe they will be better than the past 2 years. I say that because the amount of young talent they have brought in. 3) They will be above average.
One thing, with 2 minutes to play, I do not like downing the ball. The players and their backups need to play! IT does not look good to down the ball repeatedly, its like stealing the game rather than winning the game with your backups.
Heard they may bring in investors to "purchase", some or part of a college football team...would bring in outside moneys to pay players more $$$. Also Tristan Alvano update..?
I agree they need help, but they also need time to develop the younger specialists. Bring in hired guns until you get the pipeline of specialists in place. Special Teams positions are some of the most difficult and some of the most mentally challenging positions on the field. They have to be almost perfect in every snap. It takes development in special teams players to be consistent every snap. And if you think you can just pick up the ball and snap it, kick it, or punt it every time. Prove it................
Adam we bring in Wide Receivers and we lose Jalen Lloyd one of our speeders. We used him last great, what happen this year? We don't use the good players we got we will continue to lose them!
I believe with what Matt Rhule is building all aspects of Nebraska’s game will be better next year. I think Matt at times is too nice. He needs to call out the bad and make the tough choices he is being paid to do. Friendships only go so far when you are not producing a quality outcome.
Offense will be top 30, defense will be a slight down to top 30. I think we can make the first round of playoffs, and at least be presentable even if that's as far as we go. If we have a good seed, second round. I'm seeing at least 10-2 with the updates. Foley stays in a different role, and we get a new STC.
We need a good long snapper and a new special teams coach. He has had more time than needed to use the best players to improve this facet of the game. Must be blind?
The best QB scrambler was purdy 4.4 speed. I'd like to have a QB with that type of scrambling speed, guess he stays at NM. Yes we need overpowering lineman on defense and offense. A QB can be effective as a running back maybe more so, so maybe it is a QB that you need with exceptional speed and scrambling ability. Believe Purdy averaged 4.5 yards rushing.
With Iowa and Wisconsin down, Nebraska up, wouldn’t it be nice if next season it were OSU, Michigan, Penn State and Nebraska at the top? Think that’s what Big10 imagined when we joined. We need to pass Iowa and Wisconsin. I’m not even talking about the rest of the bottom-feeders who were owning us. Bring back the Huskers, as God intended!!!
The offensive coaching will definitely be better. The defensive coaching I think will be better. White turned the defense around in a big way, but there were still some issues the past 2 seasons giving up 3rd and longs especially. Special teams......it doesn't seem like rocket science, but we haven't even been just ok for over a decade it seems like, and this season was a new all time low. So yeah, Foley needs to be replaced
I feel like Matt is going to give him one more year. He should just cut him now. It all falls on the coach. If it's more of the same next. That's on Matt.
While Rhule has apparently made some upgrades with Dana and Butler, he has al made poor decisions that have killed us (Satt and Foley). If Rhule retains Foley that will be another POOR decision that will cost us games next year (again!). WTH is he waiting for? Fire Foley and get someone good in here.
100% special teams needs to be better. Id volunteer my services, NOT THIS DIFFICULT. Unacceptable for middle school spot on. Snap the ball, hold, and kick need to be elite. 50 yards to 45 yards should be a 60/40 field goal vs go for it, 45 yards on in should be no debate...... we got 3 put it up. We did better with our 8 man team with 18 kids on the roster for the snap and hold, again its not that difficult. Looking ahead to next year's schedule nothing less than 9-3 regular season is acceptable, should be 10-2 or 11-1, 2025 is probably one of the easiest schedules we've seen in a long long time.
I witnessed all that I needed to witness on 1st down and goal. First Down run to the Four Yard Line after RUNNING THE BALL DOWN BC’s THROAT to the 10! Second down pass- third down pass- 4th down fake field goal for the turnover! PURE CLOWN SHOW OF PLAY CALLING!!!
Are you sure it’s not you who’s the clown? This is how a lot of teams call plays in bowl games. They have fun, they go for it when they normally don’t. Seems like you don’t watch football much.

Yes dam it! What do you think? Bring in all these transfer portal guys we already have the wide receivers!
No, we have lots of good receivers coming in. But I will say he should’ve been more efficiently utilized this season.
@@JamesLybargerthe guys we are bringing in are better, lloyd only has 19 catches in 2 years

@@tgas7464 Probably right.
Matt is notorious for his year third year jump. We got a stellar OC. Never had an offense ranked worse than 6th in the nation every year he's coached
I do agree with you Adam about our special teams. Get someone in here to get it fixed
People would have a pretty good buzz if we took a shot everytime Adam says " I digress". Lol. Love the show Adam. Keep em coming, throw the bones! GBR

Couldn’t agree more concerning Ed Foley, why he wasn’t let go immediately after the bowl game is mind boggling 🙄
As long as we improve i am all for it
Glad you are talking about Foley.

If our special teams were average this year, we win the Illinois and Iowa games at a minimum and finish 8-4 or better.

You gain experience by playing those young players! Play them or lose them!

Need to build offensive line from within. Yes need to get transfers now but 2026 need to be developed
The only area up front that needs to be addressed in the portal is a stud OT and some DL depth
For the last 5 years, Nebraska has been 3-5 or 3-6 in the conference.
Nebraska needs to turn that around in 2025.
Go at least 6-3 even 7-2.
We went toe-to-toe with tOSU and dang near won. If we had an offense, we very well could have...that alone gives hope, even if we squeaked by teams we've should've railroaded
