Escapade helmet is made by mavox. While the retro helmets are made by smk, which are very good. Escapade is 1k above same mavox helmet(same model). While SMK retro full face is 6k while enfield retro which is the same helmet cost 4.5k.

Very true the same thing happened to me I have been following RE for the last 4 months for a helmet visor but it is not available and Royal Enfield store and customer care not giving proper feedback.
It's an good informative video bruh, many people gets to this helmet for there looks and RE trust as you said (since 1901). From my experience a good legit Motocross helmets can found on 7k upwards. Eg; LS2**, SOL etc but you looking for a proper regid dual sport helmet in that price, it's very hard to brought one! I tried many of them for my Himalayan & xpluse. I currently using bell MX, if you have budget to 15k MX9 is best buy. That one is best dualsport helmets around 20k budget! If you don't have to rise that much, go for LS2 MX range (recommend MX436) MRP under 10k. Other below helmet all are very heavy not for comfortable touring! I hope it should help for few. RE offroad helmets are of no use , but the RE retono helmets are a good choise , which comes with DOT and ECE certified wnder the same price, while this offroad model do not.
Yeah the open face helmet seems better built though.
RE Retro helmets are made by Vega so quality is definitely better.

Yes , I buy royal enfield retractable helmet .. it's same as stud with more price and even wind shield has "studd" written on it ..they just fooling people ..
The only thing worth buying from RE are the tcx adv boots, imported by RE. Those are good.
Rest everything : riding gear including gloves are not good quality.

Thanks for the genuine review. You saved my money, i was planning to buy a secondary helmet. I ended up buying Ignyte IGN-4 helmet which i felt is more value for money compared to Royal Enfield Escapade helmet which are price wise almost similar.
Man, most people wouldn't think of these things while buying the helmet, then they would curse. this video will help many to avoid buying this helmet... 👍

This video seems so fake. I don’t understand how everything is breaking so easily in this video. I have the same exact helmet and have been using for 4 months and I had zero quality issues and those head air vents don’t just fall off and are attached properly. How is everything just falling apart? Looks fake to me.

Mera helmet 2 brr gir cuka hai stair se 1 floor ki stairs se ground floor pr bhut minnor se scraches aye hain vo scraches thik se visible bhi nai hai agar dhyaan se dekho ge tab dikhe ga or 3 brr mein bike pr baitha hua tha tab vissor ki side se....100 mei se 1 ya 2 kharab hoti hi hoti hai iska matlab ye nai ki sab accesories mein fault ho or bhi youtubers hai jinho ne live hammers test dikhaya hai royal enfield, studd n vega k helts etc brands but studd n vega k helmet fail ho gye...ek example or market mei bhut saari brands hai vo apne designs dusri brands se banvati hai bmw 310 tvs bna rha hai, toyota urab crusier, glanza maruti suzuki bna rha hai. prices zada hai i know but comparison kru agar or motorcycle brands se toh un brands se kaam hai.
Aap sabhi RE fans ke liye, ye link hai. Yeh helmet ko manufacture karte hai, RE apna label chipka ke double price main bechti hai.

Looks like you didn’t check the message before asking me to do my research, buddy. Take a look. In case you have the helmet, take a look at the tag inside and you will what we are talking about.
Smk worst. Smk failed the hammer test on very first go. Pathetic shell quality. At 5k budget, MT is a great choice. And RE helmets are of very good quality for the price. This is from a user who have 5 different helmets from RE. Tried and tested.
You are saying RE helmet is good pehaps coz you like it. I agree that the open face helmets are really well built, but this offroad style ones are really bad. Don't mind me saying it, but for 3500/- this isn't worth it.
MT ofcourse is way better than SMK.
@@FTRClub you are saying it's not worth it becoz of those failing Burton. But trust me neither of my helmets' buttons failed like that by God's grace. May be u got a defective piece and that doesn't mean they make bad helmets. I bought only one RE helmet once. Being amazed by the quality I bought another 4 in due course. RE urban trooper is made of FibreGlass and costs around 4.5k. It's top notch. Even the ECE cert ones are just too good. No manufacturer offers fibreglass composite in that price range.
Yeah it could possibly be. However I checked all other color variants of this helmet in the dealership and all had the same problem. Perhaps a faulty batch may be.

Escapade is made by mavox and visor can be bought from mavox. The manufacturer name is written inside. Different helmets of enfield are made by different manufacturers. So visor can be bought from the manufacturer company. Smk is very good. Mavox I dont know.
Yeah. But the price difference is huge, nearly double. Mavox costs about 1900/- while RE is charging 3800/- just for their branding. They should rather tie up with SMK or Axor (Studds or Vega, or even steelbird) to provide better quality helmets.

Royal Enfield is just getting worse each year, with every model of product, with grwoing customer base, the quality is expected to increase, but it's just otherwise

Although I got Royal Enfield helmet at 50 percent discount but I too realized that accessories are flimsy and poorly made
They have now improved the quality with the latest version but it’s still not upto the mark. They are selling Axor Motocross helmets (without visor) rebranded as RE and those are significantly better.
You can bring up some of the best helmets with best price.
Never buy any RE accessories. They are overpriced and you can get the same accessories much cheaper elsewhere.

Yeah Buddy. I wasn’t having any idea about such awful build quality. I wanted a decent lightweight helmet, which won’t cross like 2kgs after mounting my Sena Intercom and GoPro and stuff. I saw this as lightweight and got it. 😒
@@FTRClub you should have doen more market research. anyway ECE 22.05 certified helmets are good enough for road and highway use. RE has very few of those.

Glad the video came out to be of some help buddy. Yes intercom does fit in this, I have tried my Sena 20S EVO and ViMoto V8, but you will need to fix the foam spacer thing to bring the speakers close to your ear. Unlike usual helmets in similar price, this doesn't have energy absorbing liner running under the cheek pads.

Surprisingly this helmet is manufactured by a company called Mavox who sell this helmet for 1800-1900 Rs. RE adds it’s label and sells this at nearly double the cost.

RE helmets are built by Vega. So, expect thet quality, but for higher price.
The Escapade series is built by Mavox, not Vega. If it was done by Vega, it would have been far more superior than this.

Not all. They have different vendors for different helmets. Most of their helmets are quite decent, mainly the open face ones.

@@FTRClub I did try some of their helmets. The EPS layer coverage was badly lacking, the visors of the ones I used scratched up badly, and the shell was too light for its size compared to most ECE-certified helmets. I used them mainly because finding XL-sized helmets from other brands is a bit difficult.

I’d suggest Rynox. Unke products RE se definitely better hai aur price ki bahut competitive hai Rynox ki. Moreover unki after sales and warranty support segment main best hai.

Vega is manufacturing Enfield helmet
Is it? I was in an impression that Studds is manufacturing and RE is charging for their Logo on these.
This is not an issue if vega makes it. These types of contract manufacturings are done with licence. That doesn't mean RE helmets are like vega cheapo ones. One example, Force motors makes the engines for Mercedes and Bmw those are sold in India under contract manufacturing. This doesn't mean those engines are like cheap Trax engines.
This Off-road helmet is not currently made by Vega but by Sandhar Amkin Industries in Manesar. Different RE branded helmets are made by different manufacturers. Vega makes their retro helmets and as far as I know, nothing else.

MT Axxis range is pretty good bro in that price. If you can extend the budget, SMK Stellar is also pretty good.
RE helmets are manufactured by other companies and sold at half the cost. RE adds their label and sell them for premium cost.
