I was lucky enough to attend a taping with a friend of The Price Is Right while Bob Barker was still hosting in the early 2000s. During commercial breaks he'd engage with the audience and tell jokes and whatnot. Anyway, during one of the breaks, the audience was trying to goad him into saying "that line" from Happy Gilmore. He hemmed and hawed and dragged it out, saying "now look, this is a family-friendly show and I'm going to check with my producer first to see if it's all right. If he says I can say the line then I will. But if he says I'm NOT allowed to say it..." The audience noise level went up, trying to persuade the producer to let him say the line. Finally, Bob turns to his producer and literally asks the question like this: "These fine people want to know if I can say 'the price is right, BITCH'!!" Instant eruption from the audience. XD Man, Bob is a legend.
@Kevin Garnica Bob is from Springfield, MO, where I've lived most of my life. He's a true legend here, too. He's donated tons of money to the college he had attended (Drury) & to animals welfare organizations & shelters. He is the sole reason our local Humane Society finally became a no-kill shelter. He, and another Springfieldian, Brad Pitt have done a lot of good for their home town.
I have probably seen this movie a thousand times and I don't know that I've ever seen someone laugh so hard at anything as you did when he was freaking out and they were bleeping him out. I found myself cackling like a goddamned bastard even though I've seen it a million times. Good stuff.
This was the most joyful reaction I've ever seen. Next time I need something to lift my spirits, I'm watching this! You can't help but laugh along when someone is laughing so hard. Been enjoying your reactions! Thanks for sharing 😊
The guy running the golf tour is the director of the movie, Dennis Dugan. He worked a lot with this 90’s generation comic actors and he and Sandler hit big success with Big Daddy. Anything from this crew at the time; Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Chris Farley, Norm MacDonald, was good comedy years. After Sandler made real money with Big Daddy, he started producing movies for his friends and they are closer to this-era Sandler movies than Sandler is now. Here’s some of the gems from this group. Joe Dirt Deuce Bigelow The Hot Chick Black Sheep Tommy Boy Grandma’s Boy The Wedding Singer Zohan
The giant guy with the nail in his head was a famous James Bond villain named Jaws (he had metal teeth) way way back. At the time, as a Bond fan kid, it was amazing to see him in this movie but sad to see his health problems were obvious, in the film. Being giant is hard on the body.
The guy playing the IRS agent taking the house is Robert Smigel. Maybe Top 3 Saturday Night Live writer ever. He is also Triumph The Insult Comic (he’s the puppeteer/writer). You see him in tonnes of SNL movies, especially Sandler’s.
The scruffy homeless caddy is Sandler’s best friend Allen Covert from way back. He has three best friends that appear in every comedy of his. Believe it or not, but that homeless looking caddy has written a few movies. His feature is Grandma’s Boy, produced by Sandler but he makes no appearance.
Christopher McDonald who plays shooter has talked about this was his favorite shoot ever. "You mean you are going to pay me to play golf, give me pro lessons all summer and play a asshole." "Sign me up." He says to this day he still gets free golf almost anywhere he plays. Because everyone wants to play a round with Shooter. And the long put at the end Shooter made. That was all him. "That's my proudest golf moment because it was real and caught on film."
Glad you enjoyed it, subscribed for more. I'm really trying to grow this channel and give people an opportunity to just forget their troubles sometimes have a good laugh.
Doesn't matter how many times I see it...Watching Bob Barker turn and say "bitch" just makes me laugh so hard. Also fun fact, the guy with a nail in his head was the same actor who played Jaws in two bond movies
If you ever find yourself wondering how hard you should be laughing at this movie... 14:00 This hard. This is exactly how hard you should be laughing. Seriously man, I actually thought you might die.
This and Waterboy are my favourite films of him. He does have a few surprising good serious rolls, and pulls them of really good. Uncut Gem for example should have landed him an Oscar.
I had to watch the whole reaction just to make sure you didn't have a heart attack!!! lol Another good comedy that came out at the same time is Down Periscope with Kelsey Grammer of Cheers and Frasier fame. Actually saw both back to back with my mom back in the day when they were first in theatres; we both laughed our asses off.
Adam Sandler films always made me laugh when I was younger because I liked the child-like antics of his characters. Today, I can still watch these films because they allow me to remember a time that was less crazy and when I still had a funny bone in my body. I still enjoy watching this film and it always makes me laugh.
For that famous fight scene with Bob Barker, naturally they tried to be extra-careful with the guy. But, as it turned out, BB has been a keen martial artist for most of his life and the rolling down the hill part was the most use they got out of his stunt double. The rest was pretty much all Bob.
Your laughter is super contagious you had me rolling, I really hope you do more comedies!! Another great underrated Adam Sandler movie is "Airheads" with Brendan Fraser and Steve Buscemi. And "the 'Burbs" with a young Tom Hanks
Oh what I would give to be able to watch this 90s run of movies for the first time again! You should also check out Billy Madison, the other half of what would be come the name of his production company, “Happy Madison Productions”
Couple years ago now I went and saw this and his other classic Billy Madison at a drive in theater nostalgia night and loved seeing it on the big screen again.
I absolutely love your reaction to this movie. I saw this movie in the theater when it came out and I along with a lot of other people were laughing so hard at times that it made it hard to breathe.
Christopher McDonald (Shooter) told a story about how director Dennis Dugan (who also plays the tour president) gave him seven chances to make his last putt. He had two hit the lip of the hole, and then hit it on his fifth chance. He improvised his response when he made it.
@@AwesomeUSMovies Another fun trivia tidbit I like: because of the way contracts are negotiated in film, many of the smaller parts still get royalty checks after the film is over. Verne Lundquist, the real life golf announcer, reportedly gets a check for about $34 every single year.
This reaction is the FIRST on my "Need a good laugh" playlist, whenever I'm feeling really down and need something to make me actually laugh out loud, this is the first video I watch! :) This movie is deep in my heart from watching it over and over and over again as a youngin' with my dad. Such wonderful memories, and rewatching this with your bust out laughing, commentary, and personality make it EVEN better! @14:05 the giggle fit alone on this video makes it TOP TIER :) I absolutely LOVEEEEEE this scene and just the shot alone of the flag wiggle-flying through the air like a spear always puts me in tears! I'm so happy you reacted to this movie and you enjoyed the parts that make this movie GOLDEN. :) ( ALSO ALSO, I recommend watching the movie Grandma's Boy! It has a few cast members from this in it and is an iconic movie, bound to make you laugh!) Been following and lovin' the ride for a while now, and still always so excited to see what's next! But I'm glad I that forced me to watch movies I might not have otherwise.
My favorite part of the movie is 14:00 when he just goes off forever lmao your reaction was exactly mine the first time I saw it. Just discovered your channel man and loving the reactions!
You brought me back 25 years, to a carefree time in college smoking weed and watching this VHS on a snowed-in Saturday afternoon. Your reaction was our reaction. Thanks for the memories

I discovered your channel a few days ago and I’ve been watching several of your videos every day since! I love that you don’t have much knowledge of the movie industry because it makes your reactions much more genuine. Thank you for the great content!
I heard in another comment section that apparently the whole Bob barker fight scene had to fill out two terms on Bob's side: He had to win and he did his own stunts 😂 This is one of my favorite movies I watched in my childhood, and I still laugh at all of Happy's outbursts! It was so fun to see your reaction to it!

😂😂😂 Awesome reaction as always! Nice to see a first-time reaction (comedy). Absolutely love the laughter. As one of your other commenters have said, your laughter is truly contagious - THANK YOU!
5:55 - You don't even yet appreciate that that's Ben Stiller. He's another HIL-arious actor/director who's made 4 of my favorite comedies (Zoolander, Dodgeball, Tropic Thunder, and There's Something About Mary). Nothing makes me laugh more than watching other people die laughing.
Omg I love watching your reactions to these videos and have been watching them while having my chemotherapy thank u so much for making me laugh through it. From across the Atlantic your fan , Michelle. Keep it up.
OMG, I'm so sorry you're dealing with this right now and I'm so happy my reactions helped you find a little peace and laughter. Just remember you're AWESOME.
@@AwesomeUSMovies thank you so much for saying that as I never expected u to reply. Your laughter is contagious and even my nurses have joined in on the laughter. I actually wanted to suggest a movie but like I said never expected u to reply. I know you like Tom Hanks and I thought u might like one of his comedic roles from the beginning of his career it's called The Money Pit and it's about a couple who buy a to their first home together. It's very funny and I think u might like it. There is also one that's more serious and directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Stephen King it's called The Green Mile it's a beautiful movie. Anyway I hope you, your family and friends keep safe through this year ahead. Keep smiling. Blessed be.
I used to listen to his comedy tape when no one else was. This did do well at the box, but I new when I saw it on VHS (along with Billy Madison) a Coconuts, I had to buy them. I got so many of my buddies together to watch them, we forgot half the movie due to laughter! So, of coarse my tapes popped from being passed around so much. Also, this was a good come-back movie for Carl Weather.
Adam Sandler had done quite a few movies and has a group of his friends from when he first started out in comedy in most of them. Most of his movies are on the same vein as Happy Gilmore so you'd probably like any of them as well.
I remember Adam Sandler from the Cosby show. That was the first thing I ever saw him in, & I moved to Hattiesburg for college where I saw this at the theater in the mall. Loved his early films. You should add "Waterboy, & 50 First Dates".
Holy smokes! Laughing harder at your reaction than the movie. I'm new to your channel, so watching your reactions out of order til I'm caught up. Thanks.
@@AwesomeUSMovies I looked through your movies here on TH-cam, and I didn't see it. A lot of people think The Waterboy is just as good or even better than Happy Gilmore. Thanks again for this reaction. Looking forward to watching some more.
I needed a laugh today, so I went through your videos & found this. I haven't watched this in years! I love this movie. My favorite sport, hockey & my least favorite sport, golf, made a great movie! Great reaction!
Just stumbled over your page...thought you were gonna keel over laughing so hard when he's cussing at the ball. HA HA HA...just for that you got a new subscriber :)

The mini golf courses in Disney World are kind of like the one in this movie as far as moving hazards and elaborate mechanics, especially WinterSummerland which is two courses: one for winter and one for summer. It's all Christmas themed, and the winter side is like the North Pole with hazards made of (fiberglass ofc 😝) snow and ice, and the summer side is Santa and the elves on vacation at the beach with sand castles, sea shells, etc. Their other course is called Fantasia Gardens and is all themed after - of course - Fantasia. Totally worth checking out if you ever get the chance!
I was a senior in high school when this movie came out, and it was one of my top 3 favorites that I'd watch basically weekly. This movie, Dazed and confused and Dusk Till Dawn were three VHS tapes I basically had on repeat playing nearly daily in my dorm room all the way up until my second year at college, when they got replaced with The Waterboy, Theres something about Mary, and Saving Privte Ryan. Back when movies were actually super good, and Wokeness had yet to infest everything~ It's good to see someone enjoy this era the first time as it reminds me just how funny it was, and why I loved it so much. When I watch them alone nowadays its just like meh, as after a thousand viewings its just old hat.
This was absolutely hilarious! I nearly died laughing with you lol! Thank you for this :D this is such a classic and just fine film, the feel good movies from this time were so great.

Nothing makes me laugh more than watching other people die laughing.
we'll stay tuned we're in for a bumpy ride
I love how you're loving this!
Blessed be.
Came here after you replied to one of my other comments, and have to say, you're right.
Forgot how funny this movie is.
Happy to hear it. Great movie. Check out my Dumb and Dumber Reaction
Hope you enjoyed my reaction
Adam Sandler had done quite a few movies and has a group of his friends from when he first started out in comedy in most of them. Most of his movies are on the same vein as Happy Gilmore so you'd probably like any of them as well.
Got to hear. Dodgeball reaction coming out Monday. This felt like a Happy Gilmore type movie
I remember Adam Sandler from the Cosby show. That was the first thing I ever saw him in, & I moved to Hattiesburg for college where I saw this at the theater in the mall. Loved his early films. You should add "Waterboy, & 50 First Dates".
You are a wonderful person - it is so much fun watching you experience this silly, but hilarious, movie. Big smile and best regards from Norway!
Dude I saw this in the theater & it’s still far & away my favorite Sandler movie.😂 Watching u laugh ur ass off was fabulous.😁🖖
thanks I really enjoyed it.
Holy smokes! Laughing harder at your reaction than the movie. I'm new to your channel, so watching your reactions out of order til I'm caught up. Thanks.
Love it thanks
fun fact, they asked johnny carson to do the fight scene . but he was booked ,so they got bob barker. bob barker lived next to ckuck norris....
Bob was best choice
Your reaction is one of the best reactions of this movie. And the fact that you know about golf makes it 10 times better.
So glad you enjoyed. It's fantastic
Absolutely love your laugh.
Your reaction to this was magical. Seeing you enjoy it that much and hearing your laughter really made my day
Wow, thank you
@@AwesomeUSMovies I looked through your movies here on TH-cam, and I didn't see it. A lot of people think The Waterboy is just as good or even better than Happy Gilmore. Thanks again for this reaction. Looking forward to watching some more.
That scene where he gets his ass kicked by Bob Barker is on of the funniest movie moments of all time!🤣🥊
It's soooo fantastic
Bob Barker FTW btw!
I'm originally from Iowa as well. First 46 years of my life in Burlington.
Great reaction!
Glad you enjoyed it
I needed a laugh today, so I went through your videos & found this.
Thank you so much. Check out my comedy playlist. everyone loves it
@@AwesomeUSMovies I have been. You've quickly become one of my favorite reactors because I you find the same stuff just as funny as I do. Hope you will do other Mel Brooks films like Men in Tights, History of the World and Life Stinks :)
Pre-Netflix Adam Sandler is a comedic goldmine.
I laughed my ass off
I was a senior in high school when this movie came out, and it was one of my top 3 favorites that I'd watch basically weekly.
Really glad you knew Bob Barker. People who don't know what a sweet guy he was don't get that scene but I find it the funniest part of the movie
Oh heck yeah I know Bob. Even when I was sick I'd watch Price is Right.
The classic fight with Bob Barker. Great stuff.
It was enjoyable to have someone knowledgeable about golf watching this. Made the reaction even better.
Great to hear thanks
Dude I absolutely died laughing with you on this l. Loved it
That Bob Barker bit is hilarious!
Your reaction didn’t disappoint! 😁
