Highlights: #2 Gopher Women's Hockey Sweeps #9 UConn After Overtime Thriller

The No. 2/3 ranked Minnesota Gopher women's hockey team completed their season-opening series with a 3-2 overtime victory on Saturday afternoon against No. 9 Connecticut.
The first two periods saw a heavy Gopher attack on offense, however it would be the Huskies that would lead for most of the day. UConn's Riley Grimley opened up scoring midway through the first period with the Huskies' first power play goal of the season. While Minnesota outshot UConn 31-10 through the first two periods, the Gophers remained scoreless.

They didn't want to lose and found a way to win. It seems unfair to release the "Murph" against just three defenders and a goalie.
