Montana Living - Bigfork Walking Tour + Creston Driving Tour

- Are you wondering if Montana living is right for you? Join along in my Flathead County - Northwestern Montana moving guide as we continue with a walking tour of Bigfork Montana.
Bigfork is a small community of just over 4,000 residents located along the North shore of Flathead lake just 20 miles south of Kalispell Montana. Bigfork residents will enjoy a nice selection of dining and shopping options downtown on Electric Avenue, along with parades, the Bigfork theater and Summer Playhouse and a weekly Summer farmer’s market on Monday evenings featuring live music, local produce, and unique items.
Creston is found along HWY 35 between Kalispell and Bigfork. This area is known for having great soil (calling all gardeners and farmers) and amazing mountain views.

I might be able to do some videos with this info. I'm not super familiar with the snowmobile/off road vehicle trails so I'll have to ask around ;p

What happened to all the cars? For all the times that I have been in Bigfork I’ve never seen the place empty like that. What’s going on?
I think I did this tour at the onset of Covid. Probably the only time it's looked like that. ;p

Love these videos! Can’t wait to make it out that way! Planning to move in a few years. Keeping Montana as an option. I really wanna make sure I can handle the winters. I live in Maryland and we get fairly mild weather throughout the year. Summers are humid but other than that not too bad. I just wanna get out near the mountains and away from so many people. We live out in the country here and it’s still pretty crowded. 😬😬
It's starting to get pretty crowded here as well. So many people have moved here in the last 5 years. Of course, Montana is a huge state and there are plenty of areas without crowds as well, but in town is busy. What temperatures are you used to there? Mostly it's the length of our Winters here in the valley that really starts to wear on people.
Radiant Wanderings it can get into the teens here. Usually stays in the 20-30’s at the coldest. Very rarely gets into the single digits.
Sooo, if you live in the valley you may be about 10 degrees cooler than you're used to on average. Although, every year we do get a cold blast into the -digits for a few days. Now, on the mountains it can get crazy cold. One day we were skiing at Whitefish Mountain (guests in town that really wanted to go despite the forecast) with a -30 wind chill. Our fingers froze immediately if removed from our gloves. Best to just stay inside by the fire on those days. I love Winter, but even I am sick of it by March/April. Best to plan a warm getaway sometime in there to soak up some sunshine. And, like I said in the "Is Montana Right for You?" video, you need to choose some way to play in the snow or you will go crazy. ;p

@@scotsirish1970 yeah, Californians are moving here as well, although most of them that I've spoken with have done so because they weren't happy with the CA way. Is that the same in Idaho?
@@RadiantRealty idk i live in the wood river valley and the traffic and population has gotting bad! so we're looking else where...idaho montana ..where ever. our house in hailey appraised at 1.2 mill so we're in a good space. we want the woods not in the city. i will not waist your time we havent sold our house yet
