- Raw production tape for Mike Watt Nels Cline & Michael Preussner as "The Crew of the Flying Saucer" on MTV's "120 Minutes" show. Evan Dando also appears (and can't get the band's name right even after three tries). I cut out some blank space, and inserted the Minutemen video after Watt discusses it.
Live music includes:
Big Train (3 takes)
An Intense Song for Madonna to Sing (Nels Cline instrumental, 2 takes)
Piss-Bottle Man (Evan Dando on vocals, 1.1 takes)
Enjoy! - เพลง
It has taken me only 35 years to love Mike Watt!
Man Nels Cline can take any music to a different level. So good!
I remember watching this live on 120 minutes. I was thinking about this and looked it up. Good ole Sunday nights at midnight in the mid 90's. Great times for music.
Double drummer line ups are so goated
Nels Cline is an absolute badass!
Glad you like Nels! Please note I've posted quite a few other videos featuring his amazing guitar work.
The thing I especially love about him is that he's not a fuckin jazz snob. He can record a record of Coltrane standards and then jump into something like this without hesitation.
@@flip65515 Cuz he's not just jazz, he's jazz-punk.
@@patrickhawkinson8399 He is many things
he is :-).
Saw and vhs'd this first run, lost the tape and have been looking for it ever since. Piss Bottle Man...epic TV
wow. Awesome. Thanks as always!
thank you , bro
Mike high as fuck!
Ohhhhh sheeeeet!!!
MIKE WATT!!!!!
Absolutely a Classic, thanks for sharing this amazing performance!
😳😱😎🥳🫡
Glad you enjoyed it! Please note that I have quite a few full Mike Watt shows that I taped myself, on this page!
Ahhhhh.... this makes for a fine morning.
Woah!
Great find...and i love this whole album. Although the two drummers sounds clumsy and way off, just use one drummer in your band!
Four people playing in Mike Watt and the Crew of the Flying Saucer, three people listed.
❤️🔥🎼❤️🔥
Love seeing Watt. Did you have to include that Oasis clip so much though? 😂
take one was great
Crawford and Hurley were already done at this point in time?
this is so cool if your drunk or high
Yeah Nels is great but don’t forget Tucker Carlson on drums lmao 1:21
WTF was Watt on in this??? Bro is LIT
What's that song at 34:55?
That is a good question! Shazam identifies the song as "Time With You" by fIREHOSE, Watt's second band.
Tucker Carlson on drums... 😐
Sorry but Big Train ain't the same without Dave, Eddie, and Pat.
Disagreed. Sim Cain alone could've handled it. Not sure who that other guy is
@@flip65515 - Except that neither of them is Sim Cain. The drummers' names are Vince Meghrouni (black shirt) and Michael Preussner (white shirt).
This sounds horrible
Compared to what?
@@rock-steadi-cam5058 Minutemen and Firehose. I didn’t like any of his solo stuff I’ve heard
doesn't get much better than NELS!!!
Was enjoying this until that monobrowed bunch of dismal overrated Scally chancers suddenly appeared. Please put trigger warnings...
Perhaps you could explain what you are talking about?
@@rock-steadi-cam5058 O**sis
@@simonwilliams8525how does one get so triggered by something so benign? Go outside or smoke a joint mate.
If he would have had Vedder, Grohl, and Smear on stage with him, people would still be talking about it.
Great post though! Love Watt!
