In this video, I will show you how I did waterproofing with bitumen strips and concreting the floor with a mixture of gravel, cement, polypropylene fibers, and water. With this combination, I achieved micro-reinforced concrete, the fibers are uniformly distributed and randomly oriented in the concrete and actually form a discontinuous reinforcement. Fibers increase the tensile strength of concrete and prevent the formation of microcracks, which greatly increase the concrete's resistance to wear, thus giving concrete durability and quality.
The bitumen tape I use in the video is used in above-ground and underground systems waterproofing against seepage and water under pressure. It is installed by welding with gas burners over the entire surface or only partially 10 cm overlap.

Very nice and exacting work! The bituminous membrane is a great idea and I enjoyed the method of screeding using the metal breaker strips as a guide - very clever. I’m not sure you’ll have any trouble with rising damp through the walls, but a simple gravel perimeter drain against the outer walls is a cheap and effective solution for this. This worked well on a large stone house built in 1840 and rendered the inside dry and mould-free. Well done! 👍🏻

Look up “French drain” as there are many useful tutorials on this effective method. These can be covered with soil or turf when complete. This ancient method should work well on your site given the gradient. 👍🏻
@threenaddies... I had the same thought and you're absolutely right. Great solition and would keep the basement sound, although, the foundation seem to be in really good shape from the start.
