- A 6th part of this little series I got going.
In order of first appearance: Ryan Quigley, Antoine Colin, Brian MacDonald, Allen Vizzutti, Doc Severinsen, Jon Faddis, Steve Reid, Louis Dowdeswell, and Kevin Burns.
As usual, if you want the source for any video, ask away in the comments :)
Love seeing Antoine Colin getting more recognition, I know him and have played with him several times. He's insane
That's the point of the compilatons I post. I see the same clips over and over again. We know they're incredible players, Maynard for example, but its nice to see others as well!
Steve reid is casually chillin’ beside roger ingram and donny d lol 😂
Playing his ass off on that Calicchio 1s10
The gong @7:14 really hit the spot.
things to come trumpet solos never disappoint
Lots of hidden gems in here who I didn’t recognize. 😊
Sorry late response, but that's the point!!
wonderful~
brian mcdonald is so good
I had a feeling these Steve Reid clips would show up somewhere in compilations soon.
Also, spot some of those Brian MacDonald clips where he's playing his new Carol Brass horn!
I'd never heard of him before!
OMG I miss my trumpet playing days

1.30 is the smoothest high not i have ever heard
that's Doc Severinsen for ya
Look up Buchanan highschool marching band in 2014, at around 2:20 javier astroga (BDA member in highschool) is screaming on an unmicced dbl Bb
Will check it out
@@LeoHuangNZ awesome
Who is the amazing screamer at 4:12 who hits an amazing G above double C, and does it perfectly? That's the best G above double C I've ever heard. What's his name?
Steve Reid!
it's a shame about the camerawork because otherwise it's a beautiful segment
Is that Stevie Winder piece available anywhere as a whole song?
On Antoine Colin's TH-cam channel :)
Links to the Brian Macdonald clips?
All of them with the exception of one clip are on Kevin Burns' facebook. Quite a few gems there: facebook.com/kburns/videos_by
Otherwise - th-cam.com/video/RREVrrPKrTI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jyriU6ZlC8nfgL2I
What's the name of the Doc Severinson song?
A Song For You
Ending on a ‘good note!
Anyone know the source of the Faddis/Marsalis clip at ~2:00?
th-cam.com/video/5S-zMlBpWEs/w-d-xo.html
where did you get those clips of brian macdonald??
From Kevin Burns' Facebook - though I'm not sure if you're not friends with him you can see the videos.
In my humble opinion Doc just is so clean, fat and pure. Always an idol. And , how does Al Vizzuti, similarly keep doing this and sounding the closest thing since Doc. All that thin squeaky noise is just that, and hanging over ? Sucks.
What were all of the songs names?
In order: Beauty and the Beast, Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing, MacAuthur Park, Georgia (Doc version), A Song For You, America the Beautiful, Things to Come, [Not sure], Flamingo, Don't Stop Believin', [Unsure], Rockin' in Rhythm, Hey Jude, Incredibles Theme, and Game of Thrones Theme.
anyone know what song is at 1:20?
👍👍👍👏👏👏🎺⭐️
What is the very first song called? Im having a brain fart lol
Beauty and the Beast! Gordon Goodwin arrangment.
@@LeoHuangNZ Thank you so much!!!!
and im am struggeling to get a f2
Jon Faddis is really an incredible player but as one of many who have had the experience of playing with him and being around him, it’s too bad he’s a weirdo😢
too true
@@russojohnstone8453 thakmn you
What do you mean by that hahaha
yeah Ive heard stories about him, what made you think hes weird
What did he do
what is the first song they played??
Beauty and the Beast
@@LeoHuangNZ ohhh wow that's Kind of surprising. very beautiful
@@j4s0n67 it's a Gordon Goodwin arrangement! It's fantastic and has a great swing feel.
Only whites and Hispanic screamers? This video is not biased and only have the best 🤔🤔😂
All of the compilations and no Roger Ingram??? Did he die? Retire??
Kinda like a bodybuilding pageant....
what's the first number/arrangement? Where can I buy it for our band?
Hope this helps :) - th-cam.com/video/Cr0qaEOZ76Q/w-d-xo.html
4:06 what’s with the weird bottom lip manipulation he does to get to the triple register, I’ve never seen anyone do that but wow it gets him up there
I've heard it's called 'unfurling' the lips
he’s the second extreme upper register player i’ve seen doing this, first being lynn nicholson. now i’m going off of pure assumptions off of observations, my guess would be they do this to give more surface area of “meat” to vibrate, as their lips are very thin , if they were to play without doing this, they would have no shot of doing so, hope this helps
@@jaycondones1983They're not as extreme but Roger Ingram, Lynn Nicholson and Maynard Ferguson use/used a similar technique when playing high as well
This is actually something he learned really early in his playing career, way back in middle/high school. He calls it “the wig”
@@jaycondones1983 Can’t speak for Lynn, but Steve doesn’t normally play like that. He only uses it past double D
Who is the guy from the second clip?
Antoine Colin
Тузы 🎺
Most of this is just showing off. ;-)
I don’t think the average person knows just how had this is to do.

CON TODO RESPETO A SUS GUSTOS Y PREFERENCIAS, BUSQUEN A ARTURO SANDOVAL, EL MEJOR DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS........
Arturo Sandoval is much better than anyone in high notes ❤
Yeah, any note will do 6.02. Why do people encourage this sort of rubbish? It’s not only feeble, strangulated, and out of tune but the only way he can be noticed is by a vulgar hang-on.
it’s a form of art, it’s ok to not like it I can’t say i’m too fond of it either, but the disrespect isn’t needed
