It’s really odd that Indiana was always involved in jujus recruitment and now that they’re having the perfect season it doesn’t appear to be moving the needle much in their direction
It's because he's looking to get a commitment from the university to start him as a freshman. IU doesn't want to grant him that. They want him to win the job. He very likely would, but Colorado in the other hand is looking to guarantee him the job
Indiana needs to understand that when you recruit top guys, sometimes they will have demands, The key for that is both sides have to be open. Honestly, I would've given him the starting job. I believe he's going to enroll somewhere in January, so he'll be an early enrolle.
Im a Bama fan, at Colorado he is not guaranteed to start just bcuz hes a top recruit lol if he struggles and doesnt give the best chance to win he wont until he's ready, they had a 5 star hit the portal for that exact reason, it's that he has a clearer path to start and win the role as a true freshman due to the talent he is coming in with and the vacancy being left by Shedeur. Behind Ruorke are more upperclassmen that have experience as starters and other relatively highly signed hs recruits with no experience. Behind Shedeur all of the QB's lack experience. Lewis would be coming in on a even playing field without a QB having the advantage of experience over him,and combine that with his talent and not to mention former CU and NFL QB Kordell Stewart having mentored Lewis as a kid (he where's #10 becuase of the former CU QB) that's also a big deal, Kordell Stewart was his inspiration, and also he would have acess to Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward QB coach plus training from Tom Brady like Shedeur was trained by Brady and huge N.I.L and sponsorshp and commercial opportunities with Nike due to Primes relationship with Nike and personal friendship with Phil Knight and Gatorade that wants to partner with Prime and the Buffs more , its not just "yeah youll start 100 percent no matter what" lol @ryanwells426 @@ryanwells426
@@midwestboxing4415I’d rather have Cignetti find the next Kurtis Rourke than to start an unproven freshman. There’s too much talent in the portal or with Tayven Jackson to justify gamble on the immediate demands of a high school kid that may or may not develop into a great college player.
November 23rd will answer a lot of questions.....what do I think? I think that Ohio State better bring their A game.....IU is the real deal and if the offensive line allows Rourke and his WR's to make some plays, IU will be in good shape.....I know they can run the ball....I am certain they can pass the ball given the chance......IU can beat OSU.....whether or not that happens, remains to be seen.....
I think if people would stop talking about if the coach will be here next year or not because of other teams may go after him maybe that could give enough doubt that if he’ll even be here or not.
If Deion stays at Colorado, JuJu goes there and starts day 1. Not sure he would beat out Tayven next yr either. But like others commented, he will most likely play at 2-3 schools in his college career

It seems like top level QB HS prospects are making their final, and perhaps 1 yr college commitment likelihood and experience based on maximal NIL $s, over program and who is Head Coach - think Raiola of Neb last yr, forgoing Georgia and OSU!? I think IU can move on from such commitment reluctance...what the Coach Cig in his JMU-IU, era has proven, it's not the stars that count. These Cig selected kids are playing for D1 team immortality, 1st and foremost, not NFL futures, per se...for a non-star recruit out of HS, that's enough, and it shows! And for us fans, that shows hugely!
Rourke won't win conference player of the year over Dillon Gabriel unless he lights it up against Ohio St. and win. Then he would still probably have to out play Gabriel in the Big 10 championship
for as tapped in steve is, he is very defensive about juju to indiana. he has blown them off TWICE in 6 weeks. are you really tryna date a girl if you blow em off 2 times in 6 weeks? i get steve may not have a handle on this recruitment like he once thought but to keep trying to give indiana fans hope when he has made it abundently clear its a 2 horse race between USC and CU just feels weird for a guy who is always so matter of fact. shoutout josh for tryna push steve on it.
Steve you're losing credibility. Your bias against CU is crazy! JUJU canceled 2 visits to IU for a reason. Come on now. Plus he was crystal balled to CU. SKO BUFFS!!!
Let's see if Cignetti can duplicate this season. In other words, can he get lighting striking twice next season? Then you can say that Cignitti is the latest rock-star coach. There is no way IU can beat Michigan in recruiting. And if the situation with Sheroone-Moore does'nt change, don't be surprised that the 2025 season will be his last year at Bloomington.
