    How are you bridging your major with medical ECs or research?

      I’m doing a dual degree program for chemistry and biology while trying to become a phlebotomist. I also was going to add volunteer work in between, most likely at a hospital if I can. I just haven’t decided on a research project because I want to do a internal medicine/psychiatry residency before a cardiology fellowship. Then after that finish with a general surgery residency. Hope I’m taking the right majors and pursuing the right path in order to do so.

      @@_JonJon_sounds like you are thinking about the right things. Maybe pursue research that is related to psych or mental health and the community or relationship of heart disease or cardio issues and a minority group. Also make sure to keep up your clinical, patient facing experiences. All the residency focus with clarify in med school. Good luck!

    I was thinking of either pursuing an electrical engineering degree or a math degree for pre med any thoughts on how this would work?

    • @WriteYourAcceptance
      @WriteYourAcceptance  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      that would work great as long as you take all your premed requisite courses, check in regularly with your pre health office and make sure you build out your volunteer and clinical experiences, maybe even pursue research opps. Good luck!

      That's super exciting. Congrats on almost graduating and thinking of next steps!! Chemistry would be great...and make sure once you settle in you start extra curriculars...and get involved with student orgs on campus so you network and ccnnect with other, older peers who can share intel. It's a marathon...take it one step at a time. Good luck!

    What are the chances of getting into med school after studying psychology or philosophy today?

    • @WriteYourAcceptance

      The major is only one factor in a very multi dimensional process. We would need more info to truly consider opportunity and chance like strength of gpa, science gpa, extra curricular activities, MCAT score then actual writing in app…but psych majors with excellent science gpa’s and all other info do well. Where are you in the process?
