    Good to see 35’s on stock uca, I figured it’d work with a bit more hammering.

    Safety glasses are good but face shield is better when using a motabo. Good job on the project.

      Yeah I definitely wanted a face shield but since I don't own one, figured glasses were better than nothing haha! Thanks for watching!

    I’m about to bump my Bilstein 5100s up to try and fit 35s it clear 285s no problem currently

      I fit 285’s easily too. My new 35’s are a lot wider tire too which didn’t help for rubbing haha!

    Max, you should go to a 3" lift with those tires. I remember you mentioning in one of your videos that the OMEs are really stiff. Have you ever considered Bilstein 6112s? They get great reviews.

      I have actually been shopping around a little bit for a front suspension upgrade! Same with what you're saying, I've heard really good things about Bilsteins. I haven't looked into them too much personally but would definitely consider them as an option! A 3" lift would also hopefully help remove any of the rubbing I still get which is pretty much just at full lock.

      @@maxwell.peters yeah. Im running Fox 2.0 coilovers up front on my 05 sequoia, and they're pretty nice. They come from the factory at a 2" lift, but can be adjusted up to 3". I choose them because they are linear valved, which apparently makes them ride smoother at slower speeds off road, which is what I wanted. I found them on tire rack for under $800, which is pretty good. I've never ridden in anything with the Bilstein 6112s, I've just heard a lot of good about them.

    Im runing a -10 offset with 16x8 inch width so I wonder if this will work without spacers and less trimming.

    • @maxwell.peters
      @maxwell.peters  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You still may need small spacers like 0.5” but I’m not 100% sure. You’ll probably still have some trimming to do either way.

    I might’ve missed it, but did you change the gears at all? Not sure how it all works but Google is saying changing the gears to like a 4.61 or 4.88 can really help with the MPG using these 35’s

    • @maxwell.peters
      @maxwell.peters  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven’t changed the gears at all and my MPG is definitely veryyyyy bad😂

  • @firstgenjon
    @firstgenjon 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Probably gonna need to re-gear. Looks good tho!

      Step one after the spacers upper control arms aftermarket! Unless you already have those

    What do you think you would need to do if you wanted to run at stock height?

    • @maxwell.peters
      @maxwell.peters  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It probably could be done but I can't say for certain. At stock height you'd definitely need to do a lot more hammering and trimming. I folded my pinch welds completely flat and still rub on the inside of the fender. I bet you'd also need to cut your fenders even higher, otherwise you'll rub when flexing out off-roading. I trimmed just over an inch off my fenders and if I flex out, that front wheel is basically hitting the bottom of the fender. Without a lift it would definitely hit/rub.

  • @clipzbyj589
    @clipzbyj589 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    do you think a 3 inch lift would of prevented the cutting ?

    • @maxwell.peters
      @maxwell.peters  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      While I can't say for certain, I still don't think it would prevent all cutting and hammering. The pinch welds especially stick out really far and it's hard to avoid the tires rubbing on them when turning. With a 3" lift, I bet you could get away without trimming the fenders, or at the very least, trimming them a lot less!

      It's also super expensive, once you go past 2 inches

    Any rubbing on the frame?

    • @maxwell.peters
      @maxwell.peters  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If there is any rubbing on the frame it's a tiny amount. I only rub at full lock and that's mostly on the back of the fender. I think the spacers push the tire out far enough to avoid contact with the frame!

    • @SlappMcSlappface
      @SlappMcSlappface 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yeah i get rubbing at full lock, but it's not a little bit, it's more than that. I'm going to start with spacers and then tackle this body work you did. @@maxwell.peters
