Fascinating information! I didn't know that hackamores came in so many different options and usages. I'm curious to see if my horse could transition to a hackamore, and this helps a lot. A really nice starting point, so thank you!

I got a 7yr old mustang. She always rode in those. The one ahe has they said was made for her. She aeems to do good in it.

I use a standard snaffle with no nose band, no throat latch and it goes over one ear. She is very responsive and well trained but stopping isn't her favorite. I want to ride her as free as possible and go bitless. She rides great in just a halter as well but do you recommend anything more permanent that I could use that allows her freedom and comfort while still being respectful of my requests such as stopping and standing still?? And safe for trails.
