Loved how the last player (Lanturn) went out of their way to be a good sport and show us their hand while LVD didn't even play the snarl and reveal he was color screwed the whole game!

@legenvd so in match 3 @ 21:30. You choose not to sacrifice the eyetwitch because you wouldn't get the token from dramatic finale. But you only get one token if one or more creatures dies. So you could have sac'd the eyetwitch and the inkling token and then still get a token from woe strider dying. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I could've sacrificed the Goat token since that doesn't trigger finale. But as soon as we sacrifice Eyetwitch we would get an Inkling from FInale. Then once our board gets swept we wouldn't get a second Inkling since Finale already triggered for the turn.
The finale ability triggers only once each turn. Since the inkling would've already been summoned by sacrificing the eyetwitch, it would not happen again that turn. He could have sacrificed the goat token because tokens dying do not trigger the finale

Oh my, I just realised how good that Drama is in my monowhite devotion tokens deck, with the dude that makes tokens per white devotion, and also harmonious archon. I run the lurrus sacrifice package in it and instead of going all that tall like the usual monowhite I go very wide and large. I need to brew som around that card now. Thanks!

At the end of match 4. The oponent trew the game by casting Plumb: He got +2 from pest dying and -3 from Plumb (+2 copies). -> -1 in total. If he let the blocks happen he gets -8 from fliers and +1 from valentin. Living with 1 life (before pests). OK he whitout a board facing 15 damage with 3 life. But still has a turn.
@@LegenVD On the first turn, sure, the free information doesnt matter much, but when you have 2 cards in hand and shows that one of them is a land when you dont have to looks like a downside to me.
@@pedroc9248This was already explained by LVD in earlier video. In arena there is a pause after you play snarl if you have a basic land in hand to reveal... which easily indicates that you are holding land even if you don't reveal. Hence there is no downside in revealing lands. This interaction makes the snarls a little worse in arena.
@@LegenVD Yeah, only a couple, to maintain the Lurrus-recurring theme, and keeping the creature AND getting the token is great... I ended cutting the Doom Foretolds for 2 Moths and one Extus, and I regret nothing!! Oh, and splitting Saviors with Alseids 50/50
@Jack It's considered bad behaviour if you've got a card in hand that can turn the game around, and saying "Good game" before using it. That just makes you a smug ass, especially since you're usually not winning because you're playing better, but just because you had a lucky draw. Bonus asshole points for using the emote again after playing the card, right before lethal damage.
In match 2, couldn't you tap the dude for an extra 3 +1/+1 counters for lethal after declaring attackers? Edit: I see why that would not have been an action after RtFC.
Hello Legend, could have won first game by sacrificing both clarion to woe strider in the endstep of the opponent during the probation, so even if he had one removal you woul still make it (he didn't anyway). Good deck otherwise, wanted to try finale in standard but couldn't figure it out
Wouldn't Alseid be better than Garrison Cat in this deck, as an extra protection spell for Lurrus and a way to push damage for lethal? Or cleric that summons a demon when you play it from your graveyard. This deck doesn't play that many token synergetic cards to make 1/1 soldiers relevant
Since they're both triggered abilities "when creatures die, make a token", yes. They both see that creatures died, so they both make tokens. If it was a replacement effect instead like "if a creature would die, instead exile it and make a token", then no, because the first replacement would mean the death "didn't really happen" so the second one would have nothing to replace.
Depends on the deck. 3/2 fliers are better than vanilla 2/2s. This deck doesn't want to hit so many land drops after 4, but it can consistently sacrifice creatures.
For "Tmat" and anyone who spam the "good game" comm. You are a jerk, just play the game and let it run its course. It's so annoying when people do that when the game isn't over. One time, I managed to steal a win on someone in arena who was spaming comms for the last 3 full minutes of the match. It was soo satisfying.

At 21:50 can't you sac the token to the strider? It doesn't trigger the Finale because it's a token, so you still get your inkling but also get a scry

What do you think of the Devotion Hoplite that makes tokens? Seems sweet after you play a Finale.
That's how I started experimenting with Finale, but Hoplite was a little underwhelming in isolation and the Lurrus route was more promising.

Isnt Nightmare Shepard THE card for this deck?
Shepherd doesn't t work well with Lurrus and Strider. Where Lurrus can give you immediate value Shepard doesn't.
I missed Lurrus in this build, how silly... gonna try that asap. Also, I like Luminous Broodmoth here, maybe in exchange of a finale and a foretold
Broodmoth is a bit of a nonbo with all the tokens, but can have its moments.
