Thank you for this tutorial! It's a beautiful Conch Shell. But I have to say it cost me several days to retry it and finish it because it was very complicated. I almost gave up. Now I'm very happy I didn't and its now finished! 🪡🧵🐚
YOU 'r Wonderfull .... Sumi ! I just finish it !!! Thank YOU SO MUCH to take time to explain us how to make this BeautifuLLLLL Conch .... I' m in Love with all the sea shells .... Friendly from France !
I love this pattern. I have finished it up to the end of the 6th row, 28 stitches. I am running into difficulty in row 7. Row 7 is essentially double the stitches of row 6 which is 56, not 46. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. thank you.
Hello, Thnak you. After Rd-6 Pull the loop in your hook and put the st marker Rd-7: With 2nd color, now we start to make the body of the shell and to make that we work in columns. Row-1: 1 sc in same space, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch 1, turn the work. Row-2: Skip turning ch & sl st, 2 sc in next st. Row-3: ch 1, turn, skip turning ch, 1 sc in next 2 st, sl st to next st of main body from 6th round to join the column, ch 1, turn the work. Row-4: skip turning ch & sl st, 1 sc in next 2 st. Row 5-18: Repeat sts same as row 3 & 4. if you still need the help I have a paid written pattern available on my shop crochetwithsumistore.etsy.com
After watching up to row five (several times) i just realized you left out an important instruction. You did not show or tell that you inverted the shell. At what point did you invert the shell n keep crocheting?
Rd-1: (With First color) Make a ring, ch 1, 6 sc sts, Rd-2: Skip ch 1, top of next st make 1 puff st & 1 sc * Repeat 5 times. (Total 12 sts) Pull the loop in your hook and put the st marker. Attach the 2nd color on first st from previous round. Rd-3 (With 2nd color) Make 1 sc in each st from the previous round (Total 12 sts) Pull the thread and put st marker. Same as previous. Rd-4: All sts work on back loop of st with first color. In First st make 1 puff st, 2 sc into next st *Repeat till last st (Total 18 sts). Rd-5: With 2nd color Work by taking the both loops, 1 hdc into the next 5 sts, 2 hdc into the next st * Repeat till last st (Total 21 sts) Pull the loop in your hook and put the st marker Rd-6: All sts work on back loop of st with first color. In First st make 1 bubble st, 1 sc into next st, 2 sc into the next st * Repeat till last st (Total 28 sts). Pull the loop in your hook and put the st marker Rd-7: With 2nd color, now we start to make the body of the shell and to make that we work in columns. I hope that will help..
@@crochetwithsumi , oh my gosh! I so did not expect a response. Thankyou❣. After much trial/error i finally got it, lol. But written does help. Again thankyou so very much! Want to hear something funny? I was following another video of yours, much simpler pattern. And do you think i could get it to " cone " , oh heck no! I ended with a bowl shape, 😂. So i gave that one up for another time. 😏. Much love/respect to you for putting these tuterorials out here fir all of us❣
Have just spent over 9 hours TRYING to follow this ever confusing "tutorial" & have now given up. Conflicting instructions throughout, spoken word & script just don't match in places & despite trying VERY hard to follow: waste of an entire day for me... I'll pass!
It's definitely not for beginners. But once you see how it works it's really kind of easy. Maybe look for a video of a spiral shell, it's a larger basket type thing, but the concept is the same. I wish you the best hun. 💕
Hermoso ❤️😍
Thank You :-)

Hi, I wanted to know, if there's a reason why you use a thinner and a thicker yarn... Or can I just use the same yarn for the whole pattern?
Hello, No specific reason I had those threads available so I used that.
wwooooowwww
Thank you😊
This is so beautiful, I am trying to do it now. Thanks for your tutorial, it is helpful. Wish there was a pattern somewhere

I am sorry 😞

Oh maybe it was a bit too advanced for you then. I followed it pretty easily but I’ve been crocheting for a while now
I'm an advanced crocheter, and I got lost at the third & fourth rows, and we were only shown once, so it was super confusing ... alas, 😢I gave up too.
