  • Join us on our travel adventures around Spain and Western Europe! We leave Spain for a short detour to the micronation of Andorra!
We take a bus from Barcelona to the capital city of Andorra, Andorra la Vella.
After a minor incident at the border, we finally make it to our accommodations in Andorra and set off exploring the city of Andorra la Vella. We also take a local bus to the towns of Arinsal and Ordino.
We focused our time here hiking around some of the major trails in the Pyrenees mountains of Andorra, including a hike through the Vall del Madriu-Perafita-Claror, Andorra's only UNESCO World Heritage Site! We finished our time here in Andorra with a hike up to a pristine alpine lake!
You definitely don't need a car when visiting Andorra, as many of the major towns and hiking points are accessible by bus! Even getting to Andorra is easy, in our case taking a bus from Barcelona to Andorra. Hope you enjoy!

OMG, you guys. What an experience. Thank goodness you passed through. I'm old enough to remember when the trains in Europe always stopped at the borders (well before the EU), but we were just happy to get our passports stamped. Thank you for this video! It's been very helpful.

We were in Andorra in 2019. We also took a bus from Barcelona (luckily no terrible experiences at the borders 😀). It's such a beautiful country. Our hotel was actually in Ordino. And we also did a lot of hiking, even on a very high peak (Tristaina, 2878 m). Your video brought back many memories (the horses for example) 😊

The trails were well marked and easy to follow. We also is an app called AllTrails to follow along and track our progress. Hope you enjoy your trip!
