I thought I knew how to do this and, in fact, have created a few double exposure effect images. But noticing it to be a 14-minute video instead of an 8-minute video, I wondered why, and clicked in. 😲 Glad I watched! Learned a number of tips in masking and layering, and double-masking layering that simplify and professional-ize the process to create this effect. Thank you for sharing these helpful techniques! ⭐x5

Thank you Ally. A very clear and precise presentation which was reasonably easy to follow. Only one observation, it may be helpful to rename the layers as you go along to avoid any possible confusion for the new (and less experienced) Affinity Photo users.
@@AffinityRevolution I have been watching Lisa Carney who works in the entertainment industry making movie/TV/Streaming posters, (granted she uses Photoshop) and saw how she labeled everything, which is something I am not good at yet, but a skill that can be helpful for many programs.
Just bought affinity photo a couple of days ago and your tuto are very helpfull Love your voice ;-) very calm, you are very clear and the tuto easy to follow. Thank you for reapeting the basics just as the select tools and others...it helps to memorize for beginners like me. Great job
I'm stuck at 6.05. Masking doesn't work with holding down ctrl and clicking the model layer. I have watch the episode multiple times and tried. What do I miss? But I really love your tutorials and always learn a lot.

The question, I am not able to switch from black to white so I can remove the water from the face area. When I try with the with I get white paint. I am on the water background mask when doing this. When I paint with black to add more water, I need to have both mask and the other layer on. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.
@@AffinityRevolution Yeah I followed along. I'm from Corel Paintshop Pro. I really wasn't happy with my results though. I really want to learn how to draw. Digital painting and stuff like that.
