I saw Journey with Perry twelve times. While he was awesome, he did have a few rough spots from time to time. Even the GOAT was not perfect. But I think the early years of Arnel were spectacular, right up there with Perry live. He has dropped down a notch or two over the years, but Journey is alive and well to this day because of Arnel. If he decides to hang it up, Darwin Santos is waithig.

I prefer Arnel’s version of this song. So does all of Journey’s songs that he’s sang live or covered. It’s more rockstar, stronger and more CURRENT than the classic version. Gotta keep reviving the music forward to keep up with each current generation or Journey’s songs and music will be left stuck or lost to the past.
