One of the most glaring is the different versions of the story of how Carrie and Doug Heffernan met. One says they went to school together, and another says they met on a double date at a bar. The showrunners say that viewers can decide for themselves which one is the truth. Certain details about the characters didn’t stay consistent throughout the series. Spencer had a peanut allergy in later seasons but not in the first one. Arthur could play the piano in early episodes and then couldn’t later. Carrie was even called Simone as a child and doesn’t seem to remember it, even though she should be old enough to.
Other characters disappeared entirely. Richie, a core member of Doug’s friend group, went away without so much as a goodbye when the actor who played him wanted to move to another sitcom. Doug and Carrie also had sisters who appeared in the early seasons and then never came back. Even the dog they rescued from the Sakcheys went poof. Speaking of the Sakcheys, they disappeared after getting the Heffernans involved in a scam. That seemed normal until they reappeared with an inground pool seasons later. Why wouldn’t they mention the scam, and how the Scakchies escape jail? Details that wouldn’t have fit in New York, such as palm trees and restaurants, made their way in. There were also errors where exterior shots of their house didn’t match the interior.

Arthur, yelling from his basement window- "You're all nothing but a bunch of dirty gossips, lead by your Queen Mother - Lou Ferrigno!"
Arthur's window was another thing that disappeared one episode later. In early episodes he already has a window but on the other side of the room.
Same goes for the small refridgerator they got in one episode. And Doug drives his motorcycle into his other refridgerator in one episode and it was totally undamaged the next episodes.
My favorite episode is when Doug should be attending over eaters anonymous, but goes to anger mgmt because they have donuts! 😂
That is a great one but it’s not an anger management class it’s a men in abusive relationships 🤣🤣

My favorite episode was when Doug and his father in law started having Carrie drink. Every night they would get her drunk so she would be nice it was hilarious

One of my fav’s is when Carrie follows Doug whose wearing a clown suit so he can make Major not afraid of him anymore. The scene is where she follows him up the fire escape and he hits her in the face with the water from the flower on his jacket. I was cracking up, then she catches up with him and gives him a few. I couldn’t stop laughing!!! Another good one is when they do the skit of the Honeymooners. Both Kev & Leah had the characters down, especially when Doug does the “Table Walker behind Carrie! Excellent mantra to the great Jackie Gleason! Both of them are very talented actors
Carrie, yelling at the Russian contractors at the end. It's one powerful diatribe.
the whole mold storyline was awesome. I think this and the Arthur in the hospital storyline are the only ones that are stretched over more than 1 episode. Also the stuff from the "Apple Hotel" episode is referred to in a few other episodes.
In the paintball episode (season 3) Doug introduces Danny to Spence with "you remember my cousin Danny," as if they'd barely met, yet in season 4 (the one where Carrie wears a bun), apparently Danny and Spence went to high school together? Oh, and the boom mic made many guest appearances at the top of the screen quite often. Side note: The theme song is my ringtone for my wife. We are a lot like Doug & Carrie

Not to mention the many times were a crew member was in the shot, the microphone was visible or a camera....but this is my all time favorite show
There were 2 Supervisor O'Boyle's. One older man then they switched him to the one that was a younger. Also Holly played 2 different characters. The woman that worked in the store. Then a dog walker at later shows.

When Doug had to try to win the fake cake back at the church or when Doug had to pick a gift from that tree at Carries job are my to favorites
My favorite was when Danny was supposed to get married. The bachelor party setting, sooo funny 😂.

Too many funny episodes to pick a favorite. One of my tops is when Doug has upstairs wife and downstairs wife.
Loved when it was Arthur’s birthday. Carrie got him home. Only everyone left cause the two men at the surprise party realized Arthur was fooling around with one of the wife’s. That left Arthur to waiting outside practicing his surprised look. Till it started getting dark out. Till eventually Carrie’ shut off all the lights in the house.

That made me laugh so much.
In "Flash Photography," there are at least 20 guests at the Heffernan house for a post-wedding day brunch, and Carrie comes out with a tray of about six cinnamon rolls. In the same episode, are we to believe that Arthur didn't hear Doug and Deacon talking at the gym about Doug's culpability? When Doug shuts his locker, there's Arthur hiding behind it, and Arthur says something like, "Aha, I knew it was a frame." Then he begins talking as though he knows nothing about what Doug and Deacon said. That made no sense to me.
One of my favourite episodes laugh a minute. Come on mate it’s comedy plus he was a bit deaf and mental lol. He was arguably the funniest in it although he missed a lot of episodes.

Arthur! "Don't tell me!" So funny!
In the ice cream truck episode, you can clearly see mountains in the background during the chase scene. Ain't no mountains in Queens. Also, in the episode where Doug tries to get out of spending a Thanksgiving weekend with a couple he doesn't like, there's an outdoor basketball game and all the trees still have leaves on them. All green leaves I might add.

My favourite episode was “major disturbance” where Doug scares major and deacon give there cruise tickets up but Doug feels guilty and dresses up as a clown but carrie sees him and follows him there, beating him up in front of major scaring him even more. Great episode.

Another blunder was the episode where Carrie tries to get Doug to read and they join the night class book club. Doug and Carrie are sitting on the couch getting ready to read and in the first shot he has everything he needs, his book, reading light and book mark. In the next shot a second later, his book is gone and he runs upstairs to get his book because he forgot it lol.
I just read some of the comments I have another one to add which I just saw the other day. It’s the one where they bring Arthur to live at assisted living place,
The scene was where Doug was sitting on the couch and he says good luck Arthur and he responds with “thank you, what can I say other than you should die you big fat pig”! I couldn’t stop laughing I couldn’t believe he said that…. But only Jerry Stiller could get away with that! 😂

The episode where Spence wants to go apartment hunting but Doug keeps him in the garage (he closes the door and in the next shot it is open again) also several shots where a beer is half gone then miraculously full on following shot
What happened in almost every episode, were continuity mistakes when two characters were talking, as the camera was switching between two perspectives, people were in different postures and positions.
Spence's Mom was portrayed by two different actresses. At first she was played by Grace Zabriskie and then got replaced by Anne Meara in later episodes. She was Jerry Stiller's wife. Their daughter Amy Stiller appears from time to time playing different characters as well.
Some of those characters of Amy Stiller can still be the same person. But not when it comes to Moodie Barker who played a ton of different characters on the show.

Doug also grew up with a dog that his parents kept convincing him was the same dog his whole life. So when he tells the last set of neighbors he' never had a dog he grew up with one.

Favorite episode is Series 6: Episode 16 where Doug get s his appendix removed and is vocal about his fantasies with other women while under anaesthetics. Carrie then writes him a list of approved dreams and fantasies he is allowed to have.

ARTHUR SPOONER was my favorite episode and you missed the blooper in that episode where Doug is sitting at the table with Arthur and deacon and Doug says to Arthur "LETS THROW BACK A COUPLE OF ROB ROYS" and Arthur can't contain himself and breaks character with a laugh at Doug.
I love that show so much but my love for it was tarnished when I found out it wasn't filmed in queens because that took the authenticity out of it and I say that because I was born and raised and probably been in every section of queens and I love my city from the bottom of my heart.
I named my first tortoise “Arthur”, and my 2nd tortoise “Spooner”.
What a great show they had such great chemistry, I wish they would’ve played more episodes

“Block Buster” in that episode he claims to have made the big block that sprang the running back who scored a winning touchdown down,yet in another episode where he has a delivery at his old High School,the head coach played by Burt Reynolds brags to 2 student athletes that Doug was the best running back in the school’s history clearly contradictory

@@FactsVerse are you asking if I’d like to see random videos from FactsVerse in general or from KOQ specifically? as I can pick apart and find many many flaws and flubs ie:random glasses filled then 1/2 filled,moved,gestures of arms and legs clearly not jiving with the actual scene,wardrobe that changes from scene to scene in runs the gamut
Great show enjoy watching it still today.
Unless a tv series has a continuing story line, i don't see these inconsistency in some details as bloopers.

Also in one show Doug and Arthur drink scotch and in a later episode the plot portrays Doug as hating scotch.......
You forgot to mention the disappearance of Deacon's son Kirby Palmer!!!! Major was his younger brother.

Did anyone notice the constant "moving" of the garage and the driveway next to the house; in one position the garage doors are facing the ally and in other scenes they face towards the front of the house. Also noticed multiple references to "Shammany" but all different things. One was a game Doug came up with and the other was the internet company they invested in.
I always wondered about the Shominy thing.
Also don't forget they changed the address of their house!!
I like Ovary Action especially the scene where Doug's father is telling everyone how he heard a teenage Doug doing the wild thing with a girl in the next room. It's cringe hell for Doug
The one that was true was when they met as children!!! I know what Little Doug looks like and that was clearly Little Doug (We saw him in the Mentalo Episode.) That little kid was NOT Danny!!! I have to believe what I see with my own eyes, Doug said it was not him because he knows Carrie is going go on and on talking about it. Doug is lying.

Some episodes mention Carrie's sisters, yet on one episode, Carrie says that she's "an only child."
There was a similar blooper on "All In The Family." On one episode, someone asks Archie Bunker if he ever observes National Brotherhood Week, to which ignorant Archie, misunderstanding the question, replies that he's "an only child."
Yet, other episodes mention that Archie does have a brother or two, as well as a sister.

This was something I was wondered about the show, ever since I started watching it many moons ago, and now this episode has confirmed said thoughts. Sounds like the thing is with this show was, even though it was written well in terms of comedy, it was not well written at all in terms of a narrative story telling fashion. Things conflicting as much as they did and how much things didn't make sense going forward, just shows how badly the show runners did on this show. I will say I love this show and the nostalgia that it gives me. But let's just be real here and call it for what it is, you can't just write something out without an explanation, don't just never talk about it again. That's just horribly lazy writing. Cool, it was a fun show, but when you realize how little effort people did to make a story makes sense, when it's actually not that hard to give something, it is super bothersome. I love film making and I just got out of film school, which makes this all the more annoying to know. Like take some initiative damn it lol.
Either way though, aside from me bashing the show runners, it was a very funny and relaxing watch. I did love it, it's just a thing that sitcoms do, which is to be lazy on certain things such as the story, cause some don't deem that as important. But it is. Anyways though, thank you team for bringing a fun time to my life and others as well with this show.
