Hi, if you don't turn on heart rate measurement in the app, the watch won't do it by itself. But if you turn on sports activities, the watch will automatically turn on heart rate measurement. The data is saved in the app and in the watch. At any time, you can reset the app and the watch and all data will be deleted.
