My son (who is 28 now) is a type 1 diabetic. It’s definitely a hard thing having to trust other people but my advice to you is make him and advocate for himself. Let him be as independent as possible. It sets him up for success when he has to do everything himself. I truly believe that is why my son has such an amazing handle on his diabetes now as an adult ❤
I am so sorry he has to go through it. It’s so tough sometimes and completely exhausting. I am trying my best to make sure my son doesn’t feel like a burden because of his health and to make sure he knows it’s okay to tell someone how’s he feeling and that they need to listen.
