    I don't understand at all how to make music, but this was still a fun video to watch anyway, seeing how it all comes together as individual pieces. Great job😁

    I'm getting some "Banjo-Kazooie inspired JRPG" vibes, and that's definitely not a bad thing.

    Sick timing with this one! Just started creating ideas for a town theme today and this will help a ton! :)
    As for the track you made, it sounds great! I think you absolutely nailed the videogame town area vibe.
    I'd love to see you talk more about instrument choice at some point, that could be an interesting topic to tackle and I'm sure it'd be helpful for a lot of people!

      Haha that’s great! Glad it sounds good :)
      I’ll try talking more about my choice of instruments in another video!

    Great editing (video and the music), it's surprising you are not more mainstream. I've been watching, cause i'm trying to recode pokemon in java, (making everything from code to sprites, ... yea .. it's going to take a while) and i'm interested to see how to make the music.

      Thanks :) making a Pokémon game in Java sounds really hard, but also really fun! Good luck!

    Personally my favorite part of game design is music, I play several instruments which helps but even then writing music is a different skill and its been really fun - and slightly frustrating - to write for games

    These videos are so good!
    My only thing really is knowing what notes to try and the sorta patterns that work, not knowing music theory much or being able to play anything means I tend to just try to make patterns and alter it by ear but sometimes it can take a long time and I never think to do the fancy lookin ones you do - if you wanted to do another vid sometime maybe that could bean interestin topic? 💭

    May I ask , how do we do like the “reprise” of a soundtrack stuff? I mean sometimes soundtrack is cool when it’s reprised one more time in the end part or like the last battle or something

    • @valentineDev
      @valentineDev  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s mostly the melody that’s used again to reprise the old songs I guess

    Such a helpful video! But how do you decide the BPM for tracks like these? Any guidelines or advices I can follow?

    • @valentineDev

      I just listen to be honest. If I think it’s too slow I make it higher and vice versa
