Red Grange is arguably one of the most important players of all time due to the way he single-handedly popularized the NFL, so his first pro game was a huge deal. I probably wouldn't have it this high, but I guess I understand it

As he walked off the field with his wife the crowd was booing, "That's a shame," he said "they shouldn't be booing a young kid like Grange just cos he didn't break one in his first pro game". "Don't feel sorry for Grange" she replied, "it's you they're booing."

The Bears got to host that Hawks team which was not very good... and then hosted the overrated and undeveloped Saints team which was carried by Brees.
Dallas was probably the only team in the 2006 Playoffs which could have competed with the Colts or Patriots in the Super Bowl (Had NE not blown an 18 point half time lead).
Idk the Bears were the class of the NFC that year. The NFC was incredibly weak. The AFC was too honestly. The Chargers were the only elite team in the league but the Pats had experience.

Most of the reading I've done about league history before The NFC / AFC merger was from the 1950's onwards - which seemed to heavily involve the Packers, Eagles, Colts and Browns. This clip was the first time I'd ever seen Grange play. If he can move like that on a field that looks like the worst goat paddock, I'd imagine that he was dynamite on a firm dry strip.
