thanks for giving a update after all these years. I'm thinking of planting a couple for fast shade
Amazing
Hello, Yay another update video. It has grown a lot since then. Keep up the good work on the tree care.
Thanks for the shout out and video. Appreciate you! ⭐️🇺🇸
Nice dude, maybe measure how big that trunk is for the next update.
Impressive. See you on the next one
This is a great update
Thanks for the update. See ya on the next one. Pretty tree you have there I'll check them out next time I look through my Burgess Book. This thing is better than the old Sears Catalog. NW ga.
I will be watching your updates on this tree forever 😂
It's amazing how much that tree has grown
Wow I never wouldve thought hybrid poplar? And from ball point to tree trunk, interesting!
Poplar Trees are awesome
I appreciate this video so much as a landscape designer
Nice video dude!
It's amazing, but I'm looking for restoration of natives plants so, this being genetically altered is out for me. Still amazing
I have a lot of experience with these. I am one of the people that don’t care for them. Like clockwork they die off at about 30 years. At this point they are giant and an absolute pain in the ass to cut down. Hope you haven’t planted them near buildings because unless your trade is logging or an arborist you’ll need to pay someone to take them down. Grow fast, yes. Die after 30 years like the life span says 100%, then you have nothing again.
Hybrid poplars are amazing!

Currently regretting cutting a huge tree on our property
Need help
We are in Queens NY
Is this rated for the Northeast?
I looked it up. Says they grow well in planting zones 3-8. You look to be in zone 5. And I’m a tad warmer in zone 6… so you should be good. Best of luck, take care!
These trees get way overhyped. Ya they grow fast-ish. But they're very thinly filled. A maple will shoot even faster and at least it fills out. Spruce is slower but has needles all year long for wind breaks. Not a fan of poplar toothpick trees.
it depends on the poplar, some species are slim and just grow straight up as you said, however other types of poplar will grow into a wide tree just like a normal tree would
