I've been unable to find a spec sheet of this projector but check around for the videos that confirm that this is NOT 4K, not even true 4K. There's no system of pixel shifting going on in the Rhone, and 600 ANSI lumens is dull by today's standards: dark room only for this projector.
@@DroidModderX Please provide the spec sheet that confirms it is not basic "true" (pixel shifting) 4K but actual NATIVE 4K with, l presume, a Texas Instruments NATIVE 4K MMD (micro mirror device) with no requirement for pixel shifting. The cost of NATIVE projectors remain extortionately high and there's no way that Rhone could produce such an item at this price!
@@terjoe6643It's a LCD projector, not a DLP. But it's probably a single panel LCD like the cheap Chinese projectors. If so, it might actually be true 4k, but I wouldn't expect much quality anyway.
@@terjoe6643what’s a projector under $1000 new or used that has native 4K without the basic “true” 4K you mention? I’m looking for options I should look at with real native 4K
Comparing it to the Omni Star L80 which was the SAME thing just 1080p, if it's not "TRUE" 4K they certainly use a different more detailed lcd for projecting. I bought them both, I opted for the clearer screen on the paris rhone plus it's only $150 more and this is bright enough, i use it during the day with the blinds cracked open and connected it to a 4k streaming stick. Finally stopped crying about my broken 65 inch Samsung 4k.
Amazon is really giving us a hard time with that shit, I manage to buy another projector from there cause a friend in SJ can get it delivered to her house.. and now i figured out that you can get it delivered to one of their hubs and pick it up but i havent tried that yet.
@@joseserrano7052 The Paris Rhone web site is shipping to Puerto Rico now. It took about a week. And you get better deals on the projector from their site.
Another great review. The projector seems pretty great too, especially for the money. I'm not sure why they rolled their own half baked OS; but, with all the IO they offer, who cares as long as it stays out of the way? The hardware on offer seems top notch and that's all that matters.
agreed. I wouldn't buy this for the Android experience, but like you mentioned with all the ports you can just hook up a cheap android tv box or amazon fire stick and have a great experience.
Seems like a decent option but the contrast ratio is awful. I had a projector a few years ago with a contrast ratio of 3000:1. It was enjoyable, but not very good. This has half that. Another important question: How loud is the fan? China projectors tend to get pretty noisy.
That projector is what i need but.... that Giant Original Xbox Powerbrick it comes with and that short plug in cable and the projector is huge. What's the refresh rate?
May be No.becz.the Massive 5 kg of this projector no mount could hold this thing. I brought this thing now I do feel sorry for I cant mount this on the ceiling😢
Don't be fooled by his zeal 4K projectors start 1400$. I don't care what the specs say it's not doing 4K. Go with a reputable company BenQ who doesn't lie about its 4K capabilities.
OK OK.. native 4k..sub $500.AND BUILT-IN android that's a steal...awesome Shane....😁😁😁👍👍👍
agree. This is one of the best values out there if you are looking for a high quality projector

Awesome video. What sucks for me is that they don't ship to Puerto Rico. I hope they will soon.

Digital Keystone corrections sucks. What is the true vertical offset ?
Please confirm if the throw ratio stated was 1.28:1.
Why doesn’t it fill the entire projector screen? Is your projector screen larger than the 200inches that you said the projector throws?
its based on how far you move it away
The Nexigo PJ40 and the Rhône have the exact same internals.
Is this actually true, or, are you guessing they're the same based on other reviews? Interesting, because it seems it could be the case
@@snoopycharlie8718 I’m not guessing at all. I opened both of them up and they are exactly the same.

700$ on Amazon rn
Amazon is so expensive
Whats the contrast ratio
1600:1
My contact at Paris Rhone says the contrast ratio is 1600:1
