thanks for your honesty . You are some of the very few that will admit the your results were not the best not your worst. some these people have never barbecue a bad piece of meat.. i enjoy your videos because good or not so good you will tell it the way it is. keep up the good work.
Nice video. Will those ash covers that come on the all new original work on the actual original PK? I have the previous version before the update and have issues with the ash building up on long cooks. I am looking for solutions and wondering if I could pop these into my older grill or if you have any other ideas to help with that ash buildup on original PK for long cooks. Thanks!
I'm a Weber man like you BUT those PK's can cook. If I was cooking that loin I would have to go to at least 165 because of where I live to get mine to the look of yours. Nice video, Tom.
Tom, I think we are brothers from another mother. I use and love my Loft lighter with all my charcoal cooks and Meater+ is my go to for all my cooks. I also have the Blackstone E 17" Electric Griddle, pellet grill and gas grill. We have very similar opinions of our products too. Keep the videos coming!
Great job Tom , nice to see honesty that it turned out a little tough . I’ve had a few toast not turn out , so haven’t uploaded them . It’s all trial and error that’s how we learn . Loved the bacon weave . Could you do a video on how to fo that never seen it before . Would be nice to learn for when I demonstrate for weber 👍👍
I bought one to go with the PK 360 and it was a mistake. It restricts air flow and takes away space where you could otherwise put charcoal. Plus you don't need it. You can just bank the coals.
Thanks for Watching! Wow! Doesn’t restrict any air flow in fact it increases air flow, I’ve had one in the original and the new original and it works great!
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ even if left out in the rain uncovered? I'm debating on between the original pk or the new original pk . Was going to go with the original as from what I can tell, it's still American made but if the new original keeps way out, I might go with that as I won't be covering it and it will be left in the elements.
No Franklin Edition. I like the covers so ash doesn't ckoke down. Some one made something called the handy ash pan that worked similarly on kettle. That's what you need to invent. Biggest drawback to kettle on longer cooks is constant sweeping. I know who wraps the gifts at your house. Could you do a full packer brisket on the pk?
Thanks for Watching Drew! Not a fair contest,,,, PK will last forever… The Weber has more Accessories and is cheaper… It’s up to you… most would choose Weber
Thank you Tom. Love seeing you use the PK. Still my dream grill.
For now just chugging along with my $5 yard sale Smoky Joe.
Thanks for watching Sterling!
Nice cook Tom! Boy that pork roast looked juicy and with bacon…..yummy. That PK looks like an awesome cooker. Thanks for sharing Tom.
Thanks for watching Jay! It works very well!

Thanks for watching Louis! I was surprised too!
Thanks for reviewing the new original PK. It looks like a great grill.
Thanks for Watching! Yes it is!

Thanks for Watching Paul! I e not tried any of Oklahoma Joe pellet grills, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t…
You are a genius 👏
Thanks for Watching!
What do you think about the PK charcoal basket? Is it something you’d recommend or is there a better option?
Thanks for Watching Zach! The PK charcoal basket is the real deal! Nothing else can compare

Thanks for Watching John! A full Packer would be tight but a full flat would fit just fine
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ Im a full Packer Fan
It would be tight depending upon the size..
