We still like Subway and understand why they discontinued the $5 foot longs. We also like Firehouse but they are more pricey than Subway and is a different sandwich altogether. My favorite was Quiznos. Unfortunately, it was poorly managed and is, now, almost extinct.
I usually order through the app. If you go to retail me not they usually have a coupon code for a 5.99 footling. Or 7.99 footling meal. Only one subway in my area doesn't accept the code so just don't go to that one. It's not really a big deal to me because that Subway is about the same distance from my house as another Subway.

Every time I go into Subway now, something is gone from the menu. No more sourdough bread or Swiss cheese. Yesterday, they got rid of pastrami meat. I have now discovered Jersey Mike's sandwiches, so delicious!

Subway discount coupons arrive in my mailbox every week or so. But none of the local Subway stores accept them. When I present a coupon to the clerks they give me a dirty look. Apparently SUBWAY is making their give-away more affordable by serving their old freezer burned ingredients such as their old brown slimy wilted lettuce from days past!!! I was just there today, I was told the boss said that's all they got!!!

When subway serves real meats that are no longer frozen and they do away with their turkey based meats, I might try them again. I would eat at Subway before Jimmy John's since they premake their nasty sandwiches. Firehouse is good for hot sandwiches but Jersey Mike's serves cold and hot sandwiches and their hot sandwich meats are cooked fresh, not microwaved and all meats are sliced fresh when you order.
I had 5 24hour subways within 5 miles of eachother, now there is one open 6-9. 3 were closed due to infestations and unclenliness, and one was always out of everything so nobody went there and now they are closed. Every subway takes about 45 minuts now since they decided to have 1 employee for all orders including online orders. Use to be one of my favorite places to eat, now i will never ever enter another subway. They will always treat you like your time and your money does not matter. There is 0 reason for subway to still exist. Trash food trash service trash prices.

Their club footlong is 9.29 in my area, and I can go to Jimmy Johns and get their footlong Italian Night Club for 7.70, and it's a heck of a lot better sandwich. I can't believe they are still as popular as they are, with all the other better sub joints going on.
Subway in the 80s, was amazing. I even worked for the company too. Today's Subway is nasty! Once you try a Publix sub, you wont want to go back to Subway.

Their Oven Gold brand turkey looks and tastes like it was just cut off a Thanksgiving turkey not the slimy deli meat. I usually pair it with the Wisconsin black wax label cheddar cheese, yum! Oh and then there is their Buffalo chicken tender sub.. yummmm!

What Subway is this from? I run 3 stores and been with Subway for 8 yes. They made it wrong. Meat and cheese on top veggies on the bottom nothing in the middle. They built from the bottom up that's weird.
I would very much like Hollywood to do a biopic on Jared Fogle, the former Subway spokesperson and now convicted felon, roly-poly-boy-toy and daily punching bag for any number of his fellow inmates at the federal penitentiary in Englewood, Colorado. Perhaps it could be a musical. One of the numbers could be called "Smaller Pants," and two different versions could both open and close the production. In the beginning, Jared sings "I wanna get into smaller pants," in reference to his desire to lose weight by eating only veggie subs. At the end prior to his arrest, as he's flying around the country molesting children, he could sing the same line, but it would of course have a far more sinister meaning. Another number could involve a couple of parents going to the authorities to report that their pre-adolescent son has been victimized by Fogle. The song could be titled "He Went to Jared." You see, I'm a dead ringer for Fogle. We're talking "separated at birth" identical. Up until November, 2015 I had a fairly steady part time gig posing as him and entertaining at kids' birthday parties. For a reasonable fee, I'd provide the entertainment (balloon animals and showing the kids the former pants with a 48 inch waistline that "Jared" used to have to wear before he started eating Subway veggies subs everyday) and the food (a Subway platter). Needless to say, my tax returns for the past few years have shown a fairly significant reduction in income. My last gig was just after Thanksgiving in 2015. The people who had booked me had paid a deposit in advance, so they went ahead and had me come out with my balloons and five foot cold cut with six toppings on Italian herb bread. I ended up getting mauled by their German Shepherd who'd been watching CNN a week or so earlier.
If I didn’t have a luncheon date at a restaurant Tuesday I’d go but there. Tuesday is my birthday!! 54 big ones!! Lol I am not a fan of spicy food either, Ms Bobbie. And I live in Louisiana. lol

The Subway Club has always been my favorite, the American Club sounds new. I also like the Italian BMT, the Spicy Italian, and the Subway BLT (I usually order it with Red Onions). Great review of the new Subway menu. Bobbie? I like your fingernail polish color. Very nice.

Being from Philly, we go to the steak places near us. Our favorite is called Palermo's. Plus, they have wonderful platters for dinners.
