What a coincidence. I just purchased this same box with the idea of creating my battery holder and charging station and I saw this video in my feed. Now i know where to order to make my idea super easy, thanks for the vid, new subscriber.
I actually just built my own just like this. How ever I did not order that kit, I used wood to hold two fast chargers and I 3D printed some adapters so both my gas struck are more inside the box. I spent maybe $50 for the stuff. Also I installed a 3way cord so when I need to charge it I don’t need to carry around an extension cord. Also fun tip. Moving the gas strucks down, you don’t have to help the lid open.
Call me crazy but I used an XL box for my master charging station. It's got a combo super charger, combo rapid charger, a standard combo charger, and a powerstrip mounted to plywood at the bottom(yes it's a pain to get the shape right). I like having the super charger for the 12ahs, the rapid for the 5/6 and the standard one for my older batteries that charger better slower(have some old XCs still). I started to mess with hanging batteries from my lid and realized I hated that. Mostly because I didn't think of adding shocks, wanted to go simple as possible. It was much more efficient to just use 2 XL top trays, 1 for (6)M12 batteries and 1 for (4) M18. Below there there's still plenty of room inside to toss an extension cord when not in use and extra batteries and a tool mount for my top-off. I made sure I had plenty of room for every charger slot to be full with the biggest batteries(3 M12s and 3 M18s) all at the same time, with the trays inside and the lid closed. If it's hot out I keep the lid open when charging, but never really noticed any issues anyway, since there's so much volume in an XL. I might use the power-port idea...I just have the cord hang out of the top of the box, which is a bit awkward I admit. I have one of these half boxes and still haven't found a good use for it.
@@JakeOfALL I also mounted my struts to the back which took up less space for me to keep my batteries inside. Only drawback is if you don’t have a lot of batteries like myself (I’m sure you have way more then I do * jealous*) the Packout will tip over due to the strut being to strong but for me it works out great. Patiently waiting for the next mod to come out lol thanks for all your content and helping me piss my wife off with all these Packouts Lol
Oh the good old fein saw. That shows my age I guess because when I ask my helper to grab the "fein saw" I get a blank look. The blades were always slipping on the originals because there were no teeth to hold it, just a round hole with an allen screw that you had to tighten as tight as possible! Used them for years to cut shims flush with backers and door jams before everyone found out they are quite handy. Now with all the blade options I dont know what I would do without one!
Ha I remember being at a trade show when they first brought the tool to the USA. I bought one at the show and still have it to this day. All the blades still work, Fein, DEWALT, etc. Like you I still need to tighten the Allen to no end but it still keeps on going. I also have the Milwaukee version for when I need to do a quick job but my goto when I need to grind allot of grout, cut into a plaster wall or do some detail sanding is my Fein.
Is there a way to put this and the setup you have with the circular saw version into the rolling box I do have a Packout that has my drill ,driver, and zig saw in it just trying to cut down on boxes and merry Christmas
Do you have a packout solution for storing M 12 batteries? This is fantastic 4M 18, but I am having trouble finding a good solution to store my many M 12 batteries.
That’s pretty slick. I was going to buy the charging station from Milwaukee. I think I’m gonna have to do this instead. Great freaking idea. I want to order that kit.
I love the idea I was thinking to myself I want it I will buy it! Then I was like fuck I already got a lot of pack out stuff and sometimes stacking and un stacking is kinda annoying, so idk 🤷🏻♂️
I suppose you could look at it that way if they were all six or eight amp hour batteries or you could store two grinders and two or four or six batteries maybe Oradell gun and like four batteries

Still have my 120v fein multi tool. Love that monster still. M12 fuel OMT is very impressive comparatively.
Where do I get the plug water proof thingy for this w Ryan too? And the mod for holding the batteries?
Any place that sells Noco chargers.
Amazon amzn.to/3L2tr0x
Fein was the first company to offer the Multi - tool. They remained about $400 until the patent ran out.
Yeah !
That was my first one. Came with a 12’ cord. Still works great but it’s not cordless
Great job bro!
Thanks
Excellent! - Thanks for the show.
Thanks for watching
I made mine with two m18/m12 chargers on the top they just fit perfectly enough! Just an idea if yous wanna give that a go. Packout
That's a cool idea

Can you put the plug on the indent on the side?
What size fasteners are you using to keep from pushing through the lid?
5/8 is the amount that sticks through the plate
What size were all the screws and charger hangers used on the box

That Fein was a game changer for me in the finish carpentry world
originally used to cut off casts in orthopedics correct?
