My first 4K views and first thumbs down on TH-cam! It's official, finally more than just my friends have seen my movies. Hi everybody! Thanks for watching!
I appreciate you making this, but only left me wanting to see a lot more. Has anyone ever made a time lapse of Black Rock City being built? I'd love to see the order that things are placed as the infrastructure builds. I'm guessing Center Camp goes up first? Maybe some trucks or trailers to provide rest and shelter for the builders?
Love this. Thanks for sharing these vids! Love seeing the planning and all of it going up. I’m jealous!!!! It must be amazing being a part of making Burning Man. Hats off, that’s a lot of work!
Ah, shucks thanks @Nicole Glass. This vlog Is the reason I bought a drone. I would wake up in the middle of the night thinking, I have to buy a drone, there's no other way I can show the scale of this project. These shots were literally my first times flying. After flying in the city and experiencing 2-3 feet of drift in landing I can't believe how close I flew to people and that I launched from the tight quarters of the Octagon. Check it at 4:36.… and 4:49 is seriously up close and personal.
You'll totally dig Raising The Man… some of my first flights and experience telling stories at a whole different scale. th-cam.com/video/aSwPqyEzuEU/w-d-xo.html
i don't know your disability but burning man works with disabled people, in fact you can drive a vehicle on the playa after you register at the dmv so you can enjoy the art just like everyone else :D I dont know you, but i hope for real one day you go and enjoy all the incredible things there. Im rooting for ya
o no really like I had no idea how much work went into setting this sort of thing up. Honestly, it was something that I hadn't really put a lot of thought into.
I want to know how they find the starting point. A permanent survey marker would go against the "leave no trace" principle. Triangulate off of landmarks in the distance? Do they use GPS to accurately place it? Or do they just pick a random point somewhere in the vicinity every year? I would think randomizing the location would be better or the environment. If it's the same every year, eventually the main roads are going to be harder to erase - like how old CRT-based TVs would get if you left the news channel on too long you'd always see a ghost of the news ticker on the bottom of the screen.
You would think that after all these years, every point in Black Rock City's GPS co-ordinates would have been recorded, and then just walked/driven to each point in the new year. But what do I know. BTW, I'm still looking for a real behind the scenes video of BM. No art cars, or music, just what it really takes to put this together. Anybody?
Luke Lopez lol! i am guessing in the hundreds of port-o-potties around the site, them large trucks come and take the potties. those trucks go to a local sewage waste plant(hopefully).
Who's watching in 2024?
