Thanks Lindey! I'm sticking to Ebay, I reckon. Everything's going well right now. I took on an estate for consignment, I don't have to invest money, only time. It's great when you have a great product. Pics are 98% of a sale. Ebay has a tool that will lighten dark pics, it can have a dramatic effect on your average pics. @@CopperBackInNature You have some great ideas! EBay isn't that bad about scammers, at least everything there is above board and we can prove what we've done. Actually, you might want to try not opening a store, but just start out selling things here and there on eBay. I would think general merchandise would do well on eBay or FBM, people have gotten used to buying their regular products online. I think they charge for Shopify, if I'm not mistaken. Really appreciate the info on FB Marketplace. I have been thinking about selling on FB but only items that I don't want to ship. My main selling platform is eBay but like I said the bigger items I just don't want to deal with shipping. So thank you again for the tips.

Would love to hear more from you about how you keep, organize, and communicate with your private client list for FBMP sales. (Do you use Messenger? Who do you contact? When? For/with what?, etc.)
Thanks for the information! I’m just here because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to try shipping items on marketplace. I already sell on eBay and I love the security that is in place to keep both seller and buyer safe and I wasn’t sure how Facebook marketplace handle that.
If you buy a SOFA or Furniture that's heavy. Can it be shipped at that kind of weight? I see furniture all the time. I see " ships freight" but the price isn't that high. I wonder if it's a scam. I want a lot of pieces of furniture out there but I am scared of being scammed.
My husband handles the most of our fb market place sales and I handle the ebay side mostly. It has actually been great, especially for local sales of larger items that would be really expensive for shipping. This video though has me considering all the possibilities though. Thank you 😊
Hi Lindey. I’ve been using their shipping for many months now. I did a few videos on the pros and cons as well as the updates that started this year. But the platform changes constantly so even if you do a video it may change later. Lol. This is the best way to review it. Thanks for this video.
Love your videos Lindey! I learn so much from you & you speak very well so enjoyable to watch. Yes I do post on FB Marketplace & have sold several items. I'm fairly new at e-commerce selling therefore I can see why the volume you sell at could be an issue. It is an easy process & with minimal fees i will continue to sell on this platform.
For shipping if you go to Facebook marketplace into your orders there should be a shipping orders option and it will show you which ones need to have labels printed and you can print the label directly from there. I don’t get an email with the label I just do it through the platform
My sales are completely dead on eBay and started using FBM thanks to you. My sales have skyrocketed! I have a store on eBay and hardly have any sales. I sell jewelry and accessories. For some reason my business boomed on FBM. It’s a lot more time consuming because people have way more questions. You don’t get that on eBay. Also having to enter each of my listings is time consuming as well. I have hundreds of items so it can be overwhelming. It’s also a little challenging to keep inventory correct because I also have a Shopify store. I think eventually they will improve their platform and possibly give eBay and other platforms a run for their money.
????? TIME MANAGEMENT. Is there really a question needed?! I've been dabbling in resale via FB Marketplace and am ready to step into eBay but also have a full-time job. I just watched one of your Friday videos where you referenced working only 10-15 hrs/week on eBay and 10-15 hrs/week on TH-cam. My mind was instantly blown and my curiosity was piqued. Break it down for me one time, girl! Please?!
To anyone debating on selling on Facebook marketplace, DO IT. NOW! No more fee bay or Feecari for me! My profits have almost DOUBLED! Less scammers on Facebook. A lot less seller friendly as far as platform and design, but more buyers willing to pay shipping compared to Mercari and eBay where NO ONE will buy anything if they have to pay shipping. Also, people on Facebook try to negotiate way less than other apps.
Well ppl like keep complaining , no support, no this , no that. Eventually they will have to charge 10-15%, just like any other robust platform out there
I really want to sell on more platforms but just too nervous. I have been considering Ebay and did just start looking into Facebook. I just started on Poshmark in September. Really just too scared to try and sell elsewhere right now but things move slow on Poshmark for me. I think because I can't find trendy items or trendy brands. I sell primarily clothes. I started this so I can have something to do in retirement and have a little spending money in retirement. Hubby and I are unofficially retiring in June. I love thrifting and I thought this would be something great to keep me busy in retirement. I really wish I could get past this fear of selling elsewhere. I especially want to try Ebay! Oh, I've been watching you for a while I just don't typically comment. Oh and thanks for the videos, great information always. Love your personality too!🙂✌
Currently selling on eBay and a little on Amazon. Have only so local on marketplace. Was watching video to see if that's going to be my next option or not. Thanks for the information.
I started FBM on January 1 and have 2 sales so far. I haven't received payment yet and hate the wait too! They are charging me $.43 on a $8 item - I don't like paying a percentage on the Sales Tax. I look forward to your chicken scratch help as it is how my mind works as well. Thank you so much for your content and putting words to the resale experience. Love ya ❤
I haven't started selling on FBMP yet. I'm thinking about it. I watched a video about it last night and the guy talking about it raved about it but didn't give a whole lot of detail. And then I saw a comment under the video that said there's no fees there either. I wanted to know more and verify that "no fee" comment. I apparently missed this video when you posted it. But I just found it in a TH-cam search for how to sell on facebook marketplace. Thanks for the info.
I saw this in April, many good tips here. Lindey you're very intelligent and a good speaker, I can tell you why if you like. I used to have a Radio career and I pay attention to the way people make their delivery, Hey you should start a TH-cam channel!
Hey there! I’ve been selling on Marketplace casually since it started. I’ve just started my reselling journey on eBay and was wondering about some of the points you discussed. Thanks! Appreciate you!
Hi from Australia 👋👋👋 Thank you so much for this video I have a lots of items that need to go onto Facebook marketplace but I get overwhelmed when I have too many personal messages coming in so your suggestion of only listing a few of the time will be a great help because I get overwhelmed very quickly and if I get too stressed I’ll just turn the phone off which is just making the problem worse. Thank you again
Hi Lindey👋 Thanks for sharing what you've learned. I started listening on Facebook a few weeks ago. I offer shipping only. I have about 14 items listed, and have only made 2 sales. I don't know if it's because I only offer shipping or have no sales history....🤷♀️ But I'll keep trying...
Lindey, I am selling on e-bay and am just watching to learn more about fb marketplace. From things you said and some of the comments down below, I'm interested, but don't think it's quite for me yet. I will continue to monitor it through your posts and those of your viewers though. Maybe one day I will give it a try.
Hi Lindey! Thanks as always for ALL the info you share with us. It has been a lifesaver many times!!!! ????? I would think that a lot of us are new to Facebook Marketplace. Can you walk through a listing from start to finish so we can see how to actually list with and w/o shipping? Also, I wanted to share some info with everyone around the shipping delays. I talked to the PO superintendent where I live about delayed packages. She said that if a package is delayed, and the buyer files a not received claim with eBay, and you are forced to give a refund there is something we can do. In that case, you can submit an interrupt mail online and the package will be returned to you. She said it tags the package immediately and anyone who scans the package will get a beeping to let them know it has to be returned. She said even if it got so far as the postman delivering the package to the buyer's mailbox. Since they have to scan when delivering it will beep even that late in the journey. I thought that was a pretty good solution for anyone worried that they would give a refund and the buyer would not return the item once received. Thanks!!!!
Thanks for the info. Please make a vudii on how yiu do a TH-cam vidii. Equipments manly how yiu get found when yiu first start. And most importantly how to edit a vidii prior to uploading. Got so much stuff kids moved and we are wanting to move into a smaller home. Thanks
Hi .I'm curious about selling on FB Marketplace .I did sell a few items locally in my town. The reason I looked at your video was I want to learn about shipping. And I thought i had read you can use Pay pal as I don't really want to put my bank account on my FB account.
????? What exactly is Facebook pay? When I signed up to sell on Marketplace I had to enter my card info. Sometimes people will inquire about an item and send me a payment calculator to enter an amount. I never use it bc it also ask for my card info. I don’t understand why I have to add my payment info if I’ve already added it when signing up so I tell them to just push the buy button when it’s sent to me. Hope this makes sense. Can you please explain what that is? Thank you.
I was just about to say the same thing. I’m getting charged the 5% as of the 1st. I wonder where exactly she found that notice that they aren’t charging fees until June 2021.
I’m still getting charge 5% since Jan 3rd. I couldn’t find the statement from Facebook about no seller’s fees until Jun 2021, perhaps is just for her area? Or for her account only since she doesn’t sell that much on Facebook? Perhaps is just an incentive for some sellers to sell more in that platform? Who knows
I do know if you are a constant seller on FB marketplace like me and you you sell up to $599 worth of merchandise throughout the year you will need to put your tax info before you get any pending balances. I had money on hold because I reached that point.. it was my social they asked for. Now waiting for funds to transfer to bank.
I just sold my first item that I offered shipping on and I do sell on eBay. I didn't realize that you can do your own shipping...thanks. I was charged the 5% and they even charged it on the shipping (I did a prepaid label) and the sales tax...which I don't like.
Love FBMP shipping. Super easy. I agree I hate how long you have to wait for your money. Also I’m still being charged sellers fee for 2021. I’ll have to look into that.
You can link your PayPal account to your seller account now and you will get paid right after delivery confirmation. So the sooner you ship the better.
Been Selling on MP 1 year. Aside from difficulty to contact them with problems, I’ve been very pleased. I received an offer to list 200 items free on eBay today and halfway through entering I got cold feet. So many questions.. I’m searching for a good tutorial for eBay beginners, I.e. to auction, or not to auction, they say free listings but are there fees when it’s sold or not sold? Mine to avoid the pitfalls I got charge 20 bucks for something I was selling years ago when I didn’t sell it. So confusing. If you have a current 2021 video for beginners to list on eBay detailing how the free listings and fees work, I’d really appreciate it! Thanks so much for your great info!
I love FB marketplace but I forget to renew my listings even with the assistant. I think I’ll respond later but forget. 🤦♀️ Guess what I just did due to your video. Thanks, Lindey!
I want to start selling on Marketplace, but have never listed anywhere yet and don't know how to make labels. I don't even know how to take the photo of object and transfer to the platform. Have been buying and selling for decades at flea markets etc.
I was in the same spot over a year ago. It's actually easier than it seemed. I don't sell on marketplace, I have an EBay store, but beginning is the same. You take pics with your cell phone, it will upload them automatically to your Google pics (you have to have a Google acct). When you make your listing you can access your pics To make labels, you only need a cheap printer. They are generated then you print them out and tape on your package. Make an account on USPS .com, FED Ex or whoever you choose for shipping. USPS is cheaper. You can learn lots on EBays help pages. Hope it helps a little. Best wishes & blessings for you!
@@sweettina2 Thankyou so much for your help. Everything is easy once we learn how to do it, but it all seems a little intimidating until then. I have never taken a photo with my cellphone nor do I have my photo on Facebook. I got hacked once and the guy even threatened me. It was worse than obscene phone calls. But you can't let bad guys rule..and I want to start selling. Thanks again!
@@darleneaitken1620 You can do it. Have confidence by learning all you can. Lindey, I watch a lot of your videos and was wondering if you have any videos on how to register on facebook to be able to sell and ship items on facebook/Marketplace.
And for scheduling I use sticky notes. I'll pull the item off my shelf and put it by my door (inside) with a sticky note that says "jane Friday" and then I put it outside the door on Friday!
Sold hard goods with success locally. Had a handful of no shows. Did some pickups for my new clothing gig, but haven’t sold since I started selling clothing on EBay, Mercari and Posh. I want to try it, but waiting for Vendoo to get set up with it as a cross selling platform. Just easier for me to list and track.

Hi Lindey, I just wanted to thank you for all of your hard work on helping us all. One thing that I have found with FB is that if you want to sell anything designer even though you have the authentication paperwork they say it goes against their policies. I have even put the paperwork in the pics but they still react the same. Some designers they will accept but others not. So that being said I will put things on there that are not designer but other things I do. Thank you again for all you do
I want to get into FB marketplace but the layout kills me. Someone sent me an offer on something and I couldn’t even figure out how to accept or decline lol

Don't give up that dream!

Never sold on the other platforms, and not sure if it's common, but the 5% fee is on the total sale. Say you list an item for $32, shipping is $5, and sales tax is $3, The 5% fee is based on $40, not $32.

Thanks for the information! I’m just here because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to try shipping items on marketplace. I already sell on eBay and I love the security that is in place to keep both seller and buyer safe and I wasn’t sure how Facebook marketplace handle that.
You don’t need to go to your emails. You can print the labels right from your orders page.
Thank you 😊
Great job Lindey! Very helpful tips. Keep it up. Wish you much success in your business.
Hi Lindey. I’ve been using their shipping for many months now. I did a few videos on the pros and cons as well as the updates that started this year. But the platform changes constantly so even if you do a video it may change later. Lol. This is the best way to review it. Thanks for this video.
Been changing sooo fast and FB didn't really set up a tutorial, pop-ups, to explain or inform; these would have been helpful.
I was thinking the same thing, when she was talking about an email I was like huh lol.
Hello Lindey! Thanks for sharing such great information! Loooove your videos!
Super detailed and helpful video! Thank you very very much!
You answered my question in the first ten minutes. Thank you so much!
Please?!
LOLLL....Liked the beginning sound Lindey! Have only sold a few on Facebook Market Place and now have added Mercari for a second place to sell.
I just hate how there is essentially no seller support.
Agreed! The one area they are seriously lacking in my opinion!
Taking a fee but no support? Ugh.
Agreed. Shouldn't take any fee unless they support sellers making them money!!
Well ppl like keep complaining , no support, no this , no that. Eventually they will have to charge 10-15%, just like any other robust platform out there
Hey, I'm a newer channel, also doing some Facebook marketplace content. Feel free to check it out.
Love your personality too!🙂✌
Hey, I have a lot of tips to offer in my channel. Feel free to check it out.
Currently selling on eBay and a little on Amazon. Have only so local on marketplace. Was watching video to see if that's going to be my next option or not. Thanks for the information.
Yea to avoid flakes, No address until you tell me your driving and your on the way. It eliviates wasting each others time.
Thanks! It's the end of May and I'm just seeing this. Great info, Lindey :-)
Love ya ❤
Yes I would like to start Facebook Marketplace. Thank You Lindey for your review and content,
Hey, I'm a newer channel, also doing some Facebook marketplace content. Feel free to check it out.
Thanks for the info.
thank you I am looking to start selling some larger items for local pick up thanks for all the great information
Wanting to learn how to sell on fb marketplace. Really enjoyed the tips!!!
lol that intro. Right now Im only using ebay as side hustle to payoff my $72k consuner debt! Love seeing info about other platforms.
Recently after selling for about 3 months on fbmkpl I started receiving payment much sooner. I had to prove myself worthy, I think.
I saw this in April, many good tips here. Lindey you're very intelligent and a good speaker, I can tell you why if you like. I used to have a Radio career and I pay attention to the way people make their delivery, Hey you should start a TH-cam channel!
I do appreciate what you’re doing for us thank you so much.
Hey there! I’ve been selling on Marketplace casually since it started. I’ve just started my reselling journey on eBay and was wondering about some of the points you discussed. Thanks! Appreciate you!
They are not waving fees for everyone through June. They are inconsistent with sellers still.
Thank you Lindey. I haven't been using facebook marketplace yet but I am interested in selling there. Thank you for your tips. 🙏
Whats the best way todo combined shipping?
Thanks for sharing and caring! Wow!! Learning a llot from you! Thanks again!
You are entertaining, and you point out a lot problems, But everyone on here are just selling the dream.
Hi Lindey! Love your videos and honesty! Thanks for sharing!
Hello, have you considered a virtual assistant?
Thank you.
Not everyone is getting the fee discount, there are still people getting charged the 5%.
Yup
I was just about to say the same thing. I’m getting charged the 5% as of the 1st. I wonder where exactly she found that notice that they aren’t charging fees until June 2021.
I’m still getting charge 5% since Jan 3rd. I couldn’t find the statement from Facebook about no seller’s fees until Jun 2021, perhaps is just for her area? Or for her account only since she doesn’t sell that much on Facebook? Perhaps is just an incentive for some sellers to sell more in that platform? Who knows

ya like me!
Good info about Facebook Marketplace. Thanks.
I do know if you are a constant seller on FB marketplace like me and you you sell up to $599 worth of merchandise throughout the year you will need to put your tax info before you get any pending balances. I had money on hold because I reached that point.. it was my social they asked for. Now waiting for funds to transfer to bank.
Amazing ... you are just wonderful
If you choose to print your own label... how do you print them?? What is a way to print the labels??
Love your videos!
When you make your listing you can access your pics
To make labels, you only need a cheap printer.
Go through Lindey's videos and find the titles that speak to what you need to learn i.e. shipping, etc. I even made a private playlist for myself for "Business". I took any advice anyone kindly offered. I have faith in you, if I can do this, anyone can.
I'm around every day just about, if you need help, just shout, I'll be happy to help.
@@sweettina2 Thankyou! That is so kind of you.
What boxes do I use at the USPS for the prepaid shipping label?
That is my question as well
You can use any sort of packing envelope, box etc. Long as there is no writing on it USPS is only picky abt that.
Lindey, I watch a lot of your videos and was wondering if you have any videos on how to register on facebook to be able to sell and ship items on facebook/Marketplace.
Thank you for all the helpful information.
I always say something like "Listed on multiple sites, no holds without payment."
And for scheduling I use sticky notes. I'll pull the item off my shelf and put it by my door (inside) with a sticky note that says "jane Friday" and then I put it outside the door on Friday!
OOS On Other Sites
It seems so. FB assistant also asks if your listing is still available and will relist both times it generated a sale
I've done well on shipping on Facebook marketplace. Sold alot of stuff on there
Sold hard goods with success locally. Had a handful of no shows. Did some pickups for my new clothing gig, but haven’t sold since I started selling clothing on EBay, Mercari and Posh. I want to try it, but waiting for Vendoo to get set up with it as a cross selling platform. Just easier for me to list and track.
Just learning how to sell items of my own or that I come across... def guna check out wholesale ninjas tho they sound great. You're great thanks for sharing your experiences with everyone :) HOPE Hearing Other People's Experiences 😊
Thank you again for all you do
Hey, I'm a newer channel, also doing some Facebook marketplace content. Feel free to check it out.
I have sold on Facebook marketplace but only to locals. Now I'm thinking about doing the shipping deal
Thank you for the useful information! I haven't started selling on fb yet, but hope to in the coming weeks. 😊
I want to get into FB marketplace but the layout kills me. Someone sent me an offer on something and I couldn’t even figure out how to accept or decline lol
Hey, I'm a newer channel, but i have a lot of tips to offer. Feel free to visit my channel.
Facebook has limit till 20 pounds. What if the item I want to ship is more than 30 pounds? How do I choose it on Facebook marketplace?
Great video! Thanks!
Great info! New FBMarketPlaceSeller. :D
Thanks for the info. I have been using facebook to list old stale listing on my other platforms
Same! I've been cross posting and immediately when something sells I write it on post it note so I can take down the listing on other platforms.
You are rocking it in Kansas...im from kansas I get it...enough said...lol...good job again enjoy your vids of course
Hey Lindey! So I have been binge watching your videos since I discovered you three days ago, and I just watched the one with you and your husband from 2018. SOOO adorable! He is so funny and cute! I was wondering, do y'all still do movie night or lunch weekly now that you have grown so much? Also, did you ever make it to the Winchester Mystery House in Cali? I hope so! Don't give up that dream!
We still do movie nights at home and try to go to lunch once a week as long as kids are in school 🥰 still haven’t made it to the Winchester Mystery House but will definitely go one day!! 😍
hello i have a question can facebook marktplace setting priority mail or priority mail express fro shipping?
Do you recommend setting up a separate FB page for business? I have a personal FB page.
Hey, I'm a newer channel, also doing some Facebook marketplace content. Feel free to visit my channel.
Never sold on the other platforms, and not sure if it's common, but the 5% fee is on the total sale.
Say you list an item for $32, shipping is $5, and sales tax is $3, The 5% fee is based on $40, not $32.
Love the video really good stuff. What are your thoughts on renting out personal items such as tents, tools and gas powered equipment?
