The Boeing method is for the PF to call go around flaps 15, PM says positive rate, PF says gear up check thrust, PM says thrust set and checks MA altitude is set on the MCP and makes sure you are following the MA track in the required mode. When the PF calls the go around he/she presses TOGA pitches 15 degrees nose up then follows the FD once it has caught up and applies straight arm power. Don’t rely on the AT, manually advance the thrust levers. Clean up at the MA altitude.
Nice call. Different airline companies may have different standards, but all of them using Boeing as reference. The last one I had was: PF: Go-around, set go around thrust. PM: Thrust set. PF: Flaps 15 (normally). PM: Positive rate. PF: Gear up. About the pitch, Boeing says to rotate towards pitch 15, but in so many cases, when the flap 15 is selected and the speed of 174 is automatically commanded (TO/GA mode B737-800 NG), the pitch the pilot will initially fly is approximately 10 degrees. Usually during the GA, the pilot do not set full GA thrust. It is so nice when pilots know why the F/D or the A/P is behaving, specially in situations like GA, that they do not practice quite often, but sooner or later they will need it. Thank you.
The Best i have seen. well done.
