No, Sir even some of my doubts clear just by your videos. But incremental refresh topic is taking lot of time to understand in practical.. thanks bro keep it up

TO ENABLE NATIVE QUERY IN DIRECT QUERY MODE : Go to the table's Advance Editor (M Query) Make a variable : #"Run Native" = Value.NativeQuery("your Source","SQL Query",null,[EnableFoldings = true]) Use this #"Run Native" inplace of the "Source" in further Variables
Hello Sir can you please explain about why we need to create range start and range end parameters what is used of that and can we choose any random date for that parameter as we set set all parameters in incrimetal in incresmental refresh ther we set archive year as well last days to refresh but i I'm confused as we created these things in incremental refresh then why we need to set range start and range end parameter and is there is relation about this parameter or we can take any date for creating this range start and range end parameter
Great Video... I have a query - can we schedule a Full Refresh weekly while applying incremental on daily basis because historical data can also change?
Thanks for the video man !! Instead of Service if we are keeping our report or dashboard in Report server then is it possible to use Incremental refresh?.
I have 10 year dataset and I want refresh only 2 month data but in report should be display last 4 year data in our charts or report to analysis the report
Incremental Refresh takes the current date from the system and 60 days will be updated from current date? Bhaiya incremental refresh hamne 60 days ka diya he, jab bhi ham refresh karenge to vo current date se 60 days tak karega ya fir jo date hamne dali thi incremental refresh me sirf wahi se karega. For example: hamne incremental refresh me value dali 04/07/2023. lekin ham refresh kar rahe he 08/07/2023 ko, incremental refresh 08/07/2023 se 60 days tak hoga ya fir 04/07/2023 se hoga

Hello man, 1) if we know for sure that new data will be accumulated each day or each month or each quarter, then why Power BI Developers use Import Mode. Their is always fear what if the data size exceeds 1 GB over the time. But also, import mode allows us to create all types of measures which Direct Query don't. Can you please tell me how to handle this scenario. How can incremental refresh helps us in this scenario. 2) If the project is about creating a dashboard where new data is loaded every day at 5am, and their is a fear that over the time size may increase more than 1 GB, and manager forces you to do import mode only, how would you handle this situation.......eagerly waiting for your reply. Please try to give a detailed answer so people in the comments will also get benefit out of it....
Does schedule refresh works with import mode as well as direct query mode? The reason is, in database suppose new data is loaded, automatically power BI report/dashboard won't update itself, we will have to manually press the refresh button or automate it with the help of schedule refresh. Am i right??
Schedule refresh is work only in Import Mode. In Direct Query, there is no need to refresh. (because for every user intrection it would fatch new data)
Why did you made Manage Parameters ? It was just a matter of how many Years data has to be archieved and to give number of refresh days??? What is the relationship between Manage parameters and Incremental refresh?
Power BI use these parameter to identify data between archive and data which need to be refreshed. These are case sensitive and use same I mention in video.
@@LearnAtHomewithGulshan Power BI understood when you gave 10 as a input number for number of years to be archieved, then why was their a need to do manage parameters ??????????????? bhai thoda elaborate karoge please???
you need to learn a lot bro before teaching , you are confused with many things and just quickly let it go. also you should have mentioned properly about how gateways are configured you just used it and ended that topic. just as feedback
Increment refresh ka use hi kya hai, mai Past data ka use kar k report hi nhi bana sakta, sirf range wale data ka report bana re ho Note: Ok Sorry, Refresh k baad, Entire report dikhne lagi😅
Great way of teaching... clear the topic in a great way... Love from Pakstan... God Bless you Sir
Thank you 😀

Thankyou for watching keep practice
Bahot jagah dunda pr aisa video nhi mila Thanks
Please make more such videos!
Sure will do.
Thanks for comment here.
hello dear, very nice video but can you tell me that power bi pro license supports incremental refresh or not???
Yes it support
now I understand clearly
Thank you for making video
Thank You 😀
Thank you so much bhai. Your explanation was clean and perfect.
Thank You 😃

TO ENABLE NATIVE QUERY IN DIRECT QUERY MODE :
Go to the table's Advance Editor (M Query)
Make a variable :
#"Run Native" = Value.NativeQuery("your Source","SQL Query",null,[EnableFoldings = true])
Use this #"Run Native" inplace of the "Source" in further Variables
Great Explanation just one doubt
how do you decide start date and end date while setting up parameter
or is it i can set any random date too ?
You can set any random date. It will not effect incremental refresh.
Rangestart , RangeEnd parameters ka current value kya rakhna chaiye kaise pata chalega
Kuch bhi rakho, it depend your data size but try to make sure it filter very less data.

Will explain you in my next video
Great Video... I have a query - can we schedule a Full Refresh weekly while applying incremental on daily basis because historical data can also change?
After applying incremental refresh you can refresh only incremental data.
For full refresh you have to use XMLA endpoint for refresh every partition
Thanks for the video man !!
Instead of Service if we are keeping our report or dashboard in Report server then is it possible to use Incremental refresh?.
Yes possible
Ok I'll try today, If any issues persist then maybe I can disturb you here😊
I have 10 year dataset and I want refresh only 2 month data but in report should be display last 4 year data in our charts or report to analysis the report
Select 4 years in archive and 2 month in increment refresh
very nice video bro
Thankyou 😀
Can we do this in power bi pro trial version?
Yes
how to test this incremental refresh, please guide
After setup incremental refresh. You have to test this in power bi service

Jab hum Refresh karege tab se 60 din.

Thank you

Sure sir
How to do on base of date
Incremental Refresh will work only on dates. Elaborate your issue further
Sir kindly sql pr bhi videos bnayin
Ok will do
Then What is the use if range start and range end parameters , where are those used exactly in all these process, pls explain
Power BI use both Parameters RangeStart and RangeEnd to create data partitions

Ask manager to get premium subscription of power bi which has 10gb limit

hi date karke nahi ho sakta kya parameter define. My table has dates and not date/time.
Just change the datatype as datetime

RangeStart and RangeEnd these 2 parameter Power bi use to apply filter. This will dynamically change over time.
Keep it up
