You can't beat sitting in an old truck like that on a rainy day with a cup of tea and a bacon sarnie from a roadside burger van. All you need now is a radio cassette player and a Van Morrison tape 👍🏻 🙂
Proper little old truck........highly reliable and could still earn a few quid out there today away from ULEZ etc areas. Roomy little cab with almost enough space for a "Rest Bunk" too !!! Keep this lovely old TK going mate 👍👍👍👍👍
Lovely trucks. Mine is a 330 but still has the 4 speed box. That started nice and smoke free. Mine is low miles 80.000 but needs the valve stem seels doing as its very smokey untill its warm. Lovely to add the step from you grandads truck.
I learned to drive in a TK . 9 yrs old round the turf fields down on the Romney Marsh in Kent .. My uncle had half a dozen KMs he ran as muck away tippers too. I ended up in the army & passed my HGV/car dual test in one. Lessons on the Monday took my test of Weds afternoon... Having a TK is on my bucket list.. nice lil lorry you got there.
cheers ive always said i would own one and came at the right time in life she should look nice towing the west moorland , not often in my life that i have been able to own things that arnt essential to earning money cheers for the watch
Drove these back in the 70s for council didn’t know they done a 5 speed box on the TK thought it was just on KM Not to best lorry I’ve driven but a good worker and fond memories
I had plenty of days out with my dad in one of these moving furniture, if there was 3 blokes on the job I'd be on the parcel shelf. Sadly that old thing had rotted by the time I was able to drive, then it was a Leyland roadrunner or a Merc 814.
...l used to own an ex Birmingham PD 1966 Bedford Bella Vista motor coach...300ci diesel...before l travelled to the USA in 93...plenty of good finds out here...not so much of the British treasures you find...but treasure all the same...some British stuff...good picking all the same...l love to watch your adventures...makes me a little home sick...but l live the traveller life here now...
