  • How to adjust your belts tension and alignment. This is a part of a video series I did with Lowbrow Customs. You can check them out at www.lowbrowcustoms.com

    I have shirts for sale on my website www.knoblemoto.com/shop
    I also have tons of info on my blog, on my website.
    I do in person classes at Skidmark Garage in Cleveland Ohio. You can take classes in 101 Motorcycle maintenance, carburetors, motorcycle electrical systems, suspension repair, basics of Mig welding, and specialty tools. In addition, I have an engine building class that S&S Cycle sponsors. They support the grassroots crowd, by sending me two warranty return engines, that people can disassemble, and reassemble, to help them build confidence before tearing into their own engine.

    I have to say Mr Knoble, you really know your stuff. No arrogant attitude, just pertinent information on HD's. I know UJM's but my LRS is glad I watch your videos. Thank you very much. Really wish you were around the corner.

      You’re welcome. My whole goal of this channel was to share info, without everything I didn’t like about other people’s video.

    Great video thanks! If I may ask..... How the hell did you get the bike up on that bench?

      I use a removable ramp. It is less impressive in person than it is on video.

      we use a ramp and move the curtains to the machine shop area. It's not as impressive when you see it in person lol

    I just got one of those alignment tools for my dyna for the rear wheel and I just wanted to know, I replaced the wheel bearings and rear tire about 200 miles ago but turns out after getting the alignment tool the rear tire was misaligned the whole time. Any chance to overthink if the bearings are bad now or am I overthinking it and the bearings should be good after only riding it for 200 miles that way.

      Btw this is on a chain setup. I was riding normal because I had replaced the rear tire and bearings at the same time and was taking it easy for the first 200 miles

      It’s probably fine. I think you would have to run the belt too tight longer than that.

    Yo do not put tension with the bike on the ground, never

    • @KnobleMoto
      @KnobleMoto  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You have to set it at ride height. If you do it with the rear wheel off the ground, it will be too tight when the suspension compresses. Remember the swingarm and the belt don’t pivot on the same axis.

      @@KnobleMoto yes to set, in the tightest point with a rider on it, but at the time to add tension the wheel have to be off the ground

      @@KnobleMoto yes it's better if youdo that way because the wheel and the axle can move free, then align the axle with the tool, tighten the bolt at 81nm, down the bike and ride, greetings from Seville, Spain
