10.03.2020 - VN24 - Tractor helps truck recovery with timber winch

VN24 - Neheim-Herdringen / Germany - Around 09:15 a.m. a semi-trailer loaded with noble chippings got out of control on the steep sloping Stiepeler Straße and went straight off the road in a slight left-hand bend. At the level of a quarry the semitrailer tipped into a ditch and crashed into the wall of a sewer pipe. The driver hit the windscreen in his cab and was seriously injured. It cannot be ruled out that the man had a medical issue before the accident. He was resuscitated on scene and then taken by ambulance to a clinic. For the time of the operation and the subsequent salvage measures of the truck, the Stiepeler Straße had to be closed off for traffic in both directions. The recovery contractor brought the dump truck back onto the road with a recovery vehicle and a tractor with its timber winch.
