Well done. I was 23 (as I was a year young at school, read law at university (so no conversion year) and had no gap year -one of only 15 people in the UK to qualify at age 23 a very long time ago). 3 of my solicitor children were, or will be when they qualify, age 25 (and the 4th was 26). It is a lot of work and a huge achievement. People are also very lucky that LP shares all this with them. I am also very glad LP seems to be so happy about it as far too many people are cynical and not happy. I can honestly say 44 years after I went to university to study law aged 17 I still find it to this day really interesting and a rewarding career and hope I can continue it into my 80s. I was not kept on at the firm where I trained, unlike LP here. However I then went immediately from that firm to just about the best firm in the UK instead. So even when things do not work out, sometimes it can be for the best.

I started off in M&A and it was full on from day one. I actively dabbled in IP cause of my interest in tech but it’s very engaging. Something that constantly keeps you interested and on your toes much like competition law which is sort of comparable depending which part of the world you are from. Let’s just say a lot of days without sleep or barely any and many pressure situations 😂
