I have that SNES adapter, as well as the brawler 64 controller. I highly recommend the brawler 64 controller!

I wouldn't recommend that HDMI box. I bought one, kind of for fun, knowing it would almost certainly be terrible and it is definitely is. It adds input lag, stretches to 16:9 and the image quality is poor. There are much better products but you'll pay much more... like over $300 more for a Retrotink upscaler. I'll not go into all the differences (there are videos that explain all this) but making games look and play great using original hardware and a modern TVs they weren't designed for, there's a cost to that.
As for everything else, there's some cool and useful stuff here. I like the N64 controller 🙂 Also, the fresh haircut looks good. This hasn't gone unnoticed lol

Who would pay that much for a worse quality image? Ur not really going for the original experience if ur not using a crt with the proper resolution for retro games. Using a modern TV or monitor and u might as well use emulation at that point

@@altonb.1396 I use original hardware, CRTs, HDTVs and emulation in different ways. My take is that CRTs and original hardware are undoubtedly the best combination for an authentic 'experience' (in terms of what the games were designed for and what people used in the day)... but I'm not a gatekeeper with all that either.
The 'authentic' way was plugging in a console to a TV without giving this any thought at all. People were being 'fancy' if they upgraded from the standard RF cables lol. So, find a good way to play old games on your TV and enjoy them. As it happens, the best, most simple and cheapest modern way is to use emulation.

@@altonb.1396 CRTs are the 'authentic' way of playing non-HD console games... but also, the original experience was just plugging in a console to the TV you have. The important thing is that people enjoy the games, however they play them now. My point about HDMI upscalers is you get what you pay for.

@@breakfasthole3851 I get your point that the higher priced ones are worth it for the job they do. I was just saying that I don't think its all that practical to pay that much money for an experience that wouldn't be authentic when there's cheaper methods to achieve basically the same picture with emulators. To each their own I suppose.
