    Those are really lovely Holly! Love the soft colors too. I was looking at your list of suppliers which are a lot of the ones I use. Check out Scented Expressions Supplies on Facebook for a fabulous price on SLSA and other ingredients. I add Coco betaine in place of the distilled water as binder which will increase the foam and inserting small embed squares made of half BS and half CA with saturated colors to get the action up. They'll truck along the tub and leave a trail of color and lots of foam. Happy bombing!!
    So glad you're back, I've missed watching!! 😉🇨🇦

    • @moriversoap
      @moriversoap  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Nancy! I will check out that company! So far, I've hesitated doing the embeds because of Lush's patent on a dual recipe bath bomb for the purpose of the added activity and color. I know everyone does it but I do try my best to respect patents and trademarks, especially since I am selling the end product.

    • @nancykelly9712
      @nancykelly9712 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely, I understand!! They are lovely even without embeds or anything else.

    I haven’t made bath bombs since Christmas. I make what I call bubble soap bombs. It’s a bath bomb cupcake but the “frosting “ isn’t sugar it’s cold process soap. But my hands are bad and it’s a lot on them. So I just started doing bath melts/truffles. There so much easier I can make a lot at one time. Maybe in the future I can do this but until then it’s bath melts for me 😂 Lol

    • @moriversoap
      @moriversoap  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those sound great! Yes, my hands used to hurt something fierce with the hand pressing. I am so thankful for this machine. Yesterday I made almost 60 bath bombs in a short period with no problems whatsoever.

    Living in KY, I get about the same humidity issues you do. I adore my bath bomb press, but haven't used it a lot because I get so frustrated with formulations! Thanks for recommending a book and for sharing your recipe! What a great starting off point! Maybe I'll use my bath bomb press more now (mine isn't the kind you have, but fantastic just the same! LOL) PS, how was you vacay away from YT? Hope you got some good "after the holidays" rest. We went on a cruise! It was fun to sit in 90* weather on a Mexican beach drinking margaritas and eating tacos! LOL Now back to work!🤣🤣

    • @moriversoap
      @moriversoap  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah yes, you sure would have the same humidity. I find that I got so used to working with humidity that I am having to relearn the process again in the winter. I was getting so frustrated until I realized my mix needed more moisture. LOL It seems the press needs a slightly different moisture level to work really well.

    Oh wow! I so need something like this! I always avoided Bath Bombs because I broke my wrist when I was younger, so putting a lot of pressure on my wrist constantly, by trying to squeeze the 2 sides together in a normal circle Mould, would really hurt my wrist a lot. This would allow me to finally make Bath Bombs, without damaging or hurting my wrist!
    I know you mentioned that you were Gifted this, but do you mind if I ask where I would find a machine like this, please?

      I totally understand that! I didn't make bath bombs because it made my wrists hurt too much. The machine is indeed a B-3 Bomber from bathbombmachine.com. It is a business investment. It speeds up the work and more bath bombs are able to be produced quickly and consistently. It did work out nicely for me and I am thankful. I have purchased several molds since. Holly, thank you for sharing your recipe. Who is your supplier for the water soluble dyes. Also, is the water amount 1.5 Tbspn or 2? Thank you:-)

    • @moriversoap
      @moriversoap  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Cathy! Sorry about the confusion on the water. I used 1.5 TBSPS on that particular one. I had just come from making a bigger batch and had that stuck in my head. That being said, it may vary for you depending on your humidity levels. I get my dyes from Nurture Soap. :-)

    Why are you adding water at the beginning?

    • @moriversoap
      @moriversoap  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It helps to bind the bath bombs without doing a lot of spraying later. I have the best luck with water. Also, this is where I would add water soluble dyes if I had chosen to do that this time.
