They look amazing. I've never seen a creator leaving the bathbombs in the moulds to cure. What a stroke of genius. So much faster and less chance of goof ups when unmoulding.

You are correct. I loved watching the video as I make products as well. But I also enjoyed hearing someone speak freely about vaccines. I have injured daughters and my channel I am commenting from is myself interviewing Doctor's, Scientists, Parents, etc... On this very topic.

I make what my daughter calls fairy dust with any leftover bath bomb mix. You throw it in the tub and it gives the effect of the bombs albeit way shorter but it still gives the color, glitter, the scent and bubbles. We package it in super pretty holographic packages too.

A thing about SLSA, it is actually an irritant but not a carcinogen and people should do their best not to disperse it when making bath bombs so it wouldn’t irritate them. Currently, there’s no research that proves that it causes cancer but one should be careful. The bath bombs look amazing by the way I can’t wait to try this!!

Thank you both, she was one of two sisters we had from the same little, together from birth until 14 months ago when we suddenly lost Angel with kidney disease, Gracie missed her so much but was doing so well, then 3 weeks ago her legs got weak, turns out she had brain damage and got progressively worse. We miss them both terribly but we took some lovely photos in the sun before the vets yesterday. Breaking our hearts but getting by. Thank you

I’ve been making bath bombs for a long time but for reasons unknown to me, all of a sudden my recipe wasn’t working anymore and I lost confidence with making bath bombs altogether. I love watching Karen and decided to give it a last try with her version and hey presto, I’m so happy. I used very slightly less liquid as my house is dry and sunny. THANKS Karen 🌸

Tip to "revive" your paintbrush: assuming you've got some gelling agent, like guar, xanthan gum, guar gum or the like - even a strong sugar solution would work. Dip the brush in a quite concentrated gel or sugar solution and bring it in shape. Let dry until next use and you'll see that it is back in shape.
But also buy a new one LOL.
Love your videos! Have been following you for years,
BTW Love the mica from Umakeitup! They are concentrated and absolutely stable in CP soaping.
    Stay safe.

Love your video. I am starting doing bath bombs. When using mica in the mix for bath bombs I learned that we need to use polysobate 80 to prevent the mica color to form a circlre around your bath. So wondering how much polysorbate 80 should I use. Thank you.

Thank you for such an awesome video!! I live in a humid environment, and my bath bombs tend to cave in the next day. Would you recommend letting them dry inside the mold to keep their shape overnight? Sticking them in a warm oven to dry them maybe? The humidity in my area is high even in winter. Hey Karen! I always love watching you make and decorate BB's...so satisfying seeing the mica soak in. Lol ; ) The colors look so pretty together. I agree with ya on a vaccine, don't think I will be partaking in it either. I stopped taking the Flu vaccine over 15 years ago after I got sick a day or so after getting it. Maybe it was just my luck or coincidence but since then I didn't want to take that chance again. Time will tell where all this goes. Hope everyone stays safe and thank you again for these video's...you're such a sweet peach! ; ) Big ((Hugs)) and Love from Texas!! xoxoxo : )

Do you have a formula for how you calculate how much fragrance oil you need/use? I'm having trouble coming up with a formula for a single 4oz (about 114 gram) bath bomb with 3% fragrance.

    • @nicolemitchell446
      @nicolemitchell446 ปีที่แล้ว

I agree with both these comments. I think if someone has shared something freely with you in the spirit of kindness and giving, you should pass along that knowledge with credit given to that person. However intellectual property is important. If they have given it to you for your use only you don’t have the right to share it. Same as if you purchase a recipe from someone. They put in the time, research and development to create their formulation and provided it is unique in some way it does belong to them and it is their decision who it is shared with. If anyone is interested Lush is a very interesting company to look into. They have patents on some very broad product formulations that I do question in terms of uniqueness and proprietary properties. But they’ve successfully laid claim to them so that’s that. Don’t try selling a bubble bar with washing soda in it lol.

    • @EdensSecret1

In a way it is simply preference. But you cannot go over the percentage allowances in your own country, here is is 3%, so, If you have 1kilo of powder (all the powders together) add 30ml maximum fragrance allowance. How much powder do you have?

I’m also worried a rushed vaccine will be used, a good vaccine would be wonderful but I don’t imagine they could develop one and do proper research and testing in less than two years, probably much longer.

Thanks Karen. Made these last night and rock hard this morning (although some are stuck in the moulds, should I have taken them out before I went to bed) lol
I’ve been trying for 2 weeks and yours was the easiest and the BEDT!!
I did add 3 tablespoons of cornstarch too
    Plus 1/2 a teaspoon of polysorbate 80
And 1/2 teaspoon of coca betaine
Oh I should have mentioned I only done a quarter of your recipe to start with
And think I should have dropped the oil and fragrance by one gram as I added other liquid. About to make another batch
    THANKYOU

I'm really sorry Jackie, I don't know the measurements in cups or spoons, but I do know it is 2 cups bicarb to 1 cup citric acid, or 2 spoons bicarb to 1 spoon citric acid

I will say for vaccines: there's so, _so_ much tight control around vaccines that i highly doubt they'll let anything go through without at least a year of animal testing, and then one of human clinical trial, and even that is very, _very_ highly unlikely and is a worst case scenario, which it was never looking to be. Plus, COVID-19 is part of the SARS family, which already has vaccines made, so any vaccine that comes out will probably be very similar to them, and they've obviously been in use for years now. Basically, I'd trust a "rushed" vaccine so, sooo much more than I would any sort of cosmetic type additive, because there's so, soooo much more regulation for vaccines, but for those types of things, there really isn't much at all protecting the workers. I don't know whether that's more or less worrying, but at the very least, I can say that I'm reasonably confident that something like that wouldn't happen unless there were some very, _very_ serious laws broken, and we would hear about that long before any sort of negative effects came up.

If you dip the end of your paint brushes into boiling water for a few seconds you can reshape them so they paint how you want again 😊

It's a bubbling agent to make bubbles in the bath. Full term is Sodium Sulphoacetate

If you don't leave then in the mold, they will be dry in a few hours. I always leave min in there for 24 hours
