    Thanks man, amazing tips as always! Can you suggest me one thing please? I use a Sony a6000 and I shoot with bracketing but with this model of camera you can shoot 5 images only up to 0.7Ev difference and over 0.7 only 3 images (they limited the software…) so I shoot 3.0Ev3 instead of 2.0Ev3, but when there are very bright lights or bright windows I get very overexposed lights /windows even after merging the photos in Lrc with Lr enfuse. I even tried to drop the starting photo Ev by -1 but still the lights/windows gets too much over exposed, what can I do? Can’t really figure it out. Thanks a lot!

    Love your channel and your content. You and I have the same idea when it comes to photography. Do a little more work in setting up the shot with camera settings and alot less time in editing. Im new to real estate photography, most of my experience is in astrophotography so you can understand my desire to spend less time editing. My question, I have a DJI Inspire 1 PRO camera drone I intend to use for aerial photography at some point. Did you go out ang get a commercial unmanned vehicle license to use your Mavic to shoot? How much trouble was getting it if you did?

    • @AndreiRestrepo
      @AndreiRestrepo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Jessica! Thanks so much for the feedback! Yup, when it comes to RE, I try and get it as perfect as I can in-camera, to just add quick finishing touches in post! You need to look into getting your FAA part 107 license! However I would get started to see if it’s something you really want to do, and then look into the license. Realtors aren’t really going to ask you if you’re licensed in my experience! Thanks for watching!

    I dread flash photography! This video is very useful, however I have a couple question about doing flash photography.
    1. When you say to bounce the flags off something neutral, where should you position the flash? Should it be placed behind that camera or in front of the scene in the darkest corner?
    2. When you are presenting a client with their photos, do ever have a mix of flash photos and HDR ? Or do you just stick to one style?

    • @AndreiRestrepo
      @AndreiRestrepo  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s definitely time consuming!
      1. Depends, every scene is different. The best place to start is to bounce it directly off the overhead ceiling because it’s typically white and won’t give you any color cast. The farther from the ceiling or wall, the softer the light will be. Just a matter of experimenting
      2. Just HDR now, too much volume for me to personally edit and blend flash photos
      Thanks for watching!

    • @AndreiRestrepo
      @AndreiRestrepo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Oliver! Appreciate it greatly. For sure, I’m using the Brush Tool and using the “Dodge” preset which is just exposure at .25 I believe. So brushing over any area will lighten it up or any other effect you have on it. Make the feather size soft so it’s not harsh. Let me know if you have any other questions, thanks for watching!

    Thank you so much for this video! Definitely helped me. I’m a real estate agent and looking to add extra income with real estate photography. I am shooting HDR bracketing but would love to learn more about off-camera flash. Can you use a speed lite flash instead of holding a light up above for off-camera flash?

    • @AndreiRestrepo
      @AndreiRestrepo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Tyierra! Thanks for the comment, glad it was helpful! If I understand you correctly, you totally can! You can use a speed lite with a trigger and use it like an off camera flash system. I would avoid using a speed lite on camera, you’re very limited as far as where the light hits and gets pretty unflattering results. Here’s a video where I breakdown some of my first photos and the mistakes I made! Thanks for watching! th-cam.com/video/j-gh2DC0_5Q/w-d-xo.html

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      Hey Nolan! I start with manual mode at 1/8 power and go from there. Typically for larger or darker homes I have to do 1/2 - 1/1 and rooms that don’t need so much flash 1/16 -1/8. I underexpose about -1 stop and compensate with flash to get a pretty accurate exposure. Thanks for watching!

      @@AndreiRestrepo I do already own a Tamron SP 35mm 1.4 which is why I was thinking of just getting a 16mm but having it all on one lens would be super convenient

      Oh nice. Then if you don’t mind switch lenses, I’d look at a 16 prime if it’s much more affordable. Like a 16mm 2.8 RF prime on canon

    I use off camera flash, i think too many photographers make it far too complicated, great video btw

      Hey! Nice, I shot that way for years as well! Now with my media business, we primarily shoot HDR. How long does an average size home take you to shoot? That was the biggest issue for me, if I had 3-4 shoots to do in a day, flash would take too long because I had to get everything just right. Then add video into the mix, and I was really taking too long at properties. Thanks for watching!

      @@AndreiRestrepo i can do a typical property with photos, floorplan and matterport in about 45 mins using my off camera flash method

    Hey Andrei! I'm a big fan of your channel. Thanks for helping out us up and coming RE photographer's who are just breaking in 😄 Quick question- what percentage of the time do you do HDR and what percentage of the time do you do flambient? I've been doing RE photography for a few months now, done about 15 shoots in total, and so far I have only been doing 3 bracket HDR. I've been sending my photos edited by an overseas editor. I'd give my photos a solid B+, and my agent clients have been happy so far, but I still feel like I could use to level up my skills and take it to the next level. I'm interested in start to incorporate flambient...

      Hey! I honestly don't shoot flambient anymore, especially because more of my shoots are also photo+video, so it just takes too long. I do 5 bracket and my editor does wonders with it. 3 works well, but 5 bracket can cover everything. Thanks for watching!

      How far apart would you set your 5 HDR brackets? I'm shooting on the Canon R5C. Thanks in advance @@AndreiRestrepo

      How do you like the R5c for video?? 2 stops apart at 5 bracket! Same for 3 bracket
