Brother Halverson, the timing of these lessons and also the things you say seem to have uncanny and remarkable timing in my life.
Thank you for seemingly always being there and for always having a knack for saying what I need to hear.
I appreciate and love you. 💜
Catholic convert here, who believes in the Falling away, as well as the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ!
Hi Shawn, so if there was a falling away within the universal church, when was it restored? I’d love to hear what you have to say.
Isaiah was certainly one who prophesied of this, as was the Apostle Paul.
Isaiah 29 Isaiah
Romans 11 Paul
2 Thessalonians 2 Paul
God bless your courage in choosing to follow the truth! I am a lifelong Latter-day Saint who went through 10 years of porn addiction without renouncing the faith or calling porn harmless.
God bless our prophet Russel M. Nelson and his Counselors and all the Apostles!
I like the long, deep, detailed examination of the word of God. Helps me remember and incorporate His words into my daily journey. Sometimes I have to break up my viewings, and finish later, but it's always worth it! Thanks, Bro Halverson, for sharing your scholarly knowledge of scripture, and spiritual witness of Christ!
People are asleep as they live their lives thinking they know so much. Gnostics in fog. Thanks Brother Halverson for your love for the scriptures and willingness to share the tip of the iceberg toward us. 😊
I heard one time that it’s called the Great and Dreadful Day of the Lord not for us but as it is read… the Great and Dreadful Day for the Lord. When he will have to divide and watch his children suffer and be cut off from his presence. But great when he rejoices in his faithful saints that endured to the end.
Amen to that.
First off, thank you Jared for all you do, I listen to you faithfully every week. Second, in all my 65 years I don’t think I’ve ever sung this song in church, until today! And I think I’ve found your theme song! Hymn #189, O Thou, Before the World Began. Verse #3 starts with this: Oh, that our faith may never move, But stand unshaken as Thy Love….
I know that hymn! It’s a good one
I love this thought on “be not weary in well-doing.” I’ve been feeling weary a lot lately, and was thinking “what’s wrong with me? I’m not supposed to be weary in well doing!” But the thought of pacing ourselves and preparing ourselves (self care, yay!) and being rested up for it, that is such good context.

We look forward to:
The Return of THE KING of Kings !!
Bro Halverson talks of a reign of evil we have never seen before....that is what is happening NOW (Oct 2023) wit war against the Jews . May we realize this time takes greater spiritual strength than we had before--God knows our desperation of faith He will help the righteous ..... "give us the power to accomplish all good things our faith prompts us to do). I testify God is the God of compassion and miracles; gives a way to stay faithful....look for His hand holding the other end of. the rope....even if in the next life.
Thank you Jared ❤
Dear Brother Halverson. Thank you so much, once again. There are many thoughts you spoke that I almost commented on but lately just haven't had time or energy to do more than listen. So, thank you and bless you!!!!
Love this channel
I love the truths you teach BUT, I have a short attention span and after an hour my mind is done so I seldom watch. Thanks for your teachings and the way you bless us with your podcasts. Thanks for your "shorts". Can we have more of them, please?
Sometimes I have to take these videos in pieces, come back and finish one I started. Always worth it!
Thanks for suggestion.
00:17:32 A lightbulb finally went off in my head!! Thank you! THIS is why He doesn’t tell us exactly when He’s coming: So that we might prepare for the long haul, why?, so that we might be ready. So simple yet so important. And: We need to surge ahead so we don’t slip downward and backward.
Thank you Bother Halverson
Very timely.
Wonderful, wonderful content! So strengthening and inspiring! ☀️❤️
00:22:44 I like how you emphasize that other churches have a place and a purpose, for they have made important contributions: “Catholicism has preserved the scriptures for us. Protestantism reemphasized them.” You helped me understand (in previous lessons when discussing the different parts of the body of Christ) that they too are members of “the body of Christ.”
I love the proven contraries -Urgency & Patience. I am trying to find the "Goldilocks Zone". I believe it's the utmost importance to encourage our brothers and sisters and give them grace. I pray we all have courage "to stand in Holy places"!
Thank you very much😍👏
Loved this so very much , scripture, service do help stabilize us!!! Thank you!
I love how you explained 2 Thesallonian 2, vs. 11-12. It’s not that He created delusion. It’s that He can no longer hold back Satan, because we won’t allow Him to, because He honors our agency so much.
Thank you so much, you help me to a little more understand the coming of our savior.
I have always thought, how do our evangelical friends who are striving to become Christians, rationalize the so called "rapture" being that they believe in a God who is a Spirit and who is invisible. Who or what are they expecting to see when the rapture unfolds? Is their God instantaineously going to reveal Himself in the flesh as the resurrected Messiah when He comes and make Himself visible with a body-glorified. I suggest they may be a bit flummoxed at His revealing. Maybe they will come to the realization that the true Christians are the Latter Day saints who believe in a resurrected glorified in bodily form of Jesus Christ and that He is not just a Spirit and is actually visiable and knowable. Hopefully we can get them to believe who Christ really so that they can be caught up with the righteous when Jesus comes again.
Love this
I love your podcasts. Is there a reason that you don't ALWAYS include the JST changes? It's the most correct translation of the Bible. I would think that you would always want to give those changes preeminence in your slides.
I've asked this question before and am still wondering, if any of this material is written somewhere. I'm a Branch President and think your material is excellent . It would be nice to have just snippets to use for help to some of the saints.
You can find a lot of help in the Institute Manual for the New Testament ....there's the Student & Teacher manual. It helps me a lot.
"When the Son of man cometh, will He find faith on the Earth?" What talk is that quote in your intro from?
2002-O82 - Joseph B. Wirthlin - Shall He Find Faith on the Earth?
@@ChrisPadillaAZ Thank you!
The PROBLEM I have with LDS people who say, the world will become such much more wicked. Most of them live in the culture bubble. They avoid the world, as if child sex slavery, ethnic cleansing or more recently cutting Jewish babies heads off is not wicked enough. "Nothing to worry about" may be far more dangerous than let every heart be prepared and ready to meet the Lord.
How can you command satan out of your life, when you're a stong member of the church? To see how satan can take away so much, where anger is mounting, what is a possible answer? I see torment on a daily basis, with no answeres to prayer or fasting. Will promised blessings come at some point. Or are some efforts not seen.
To be or to go and see what was there had a few people ask as well
I’d like to caution the over cautious. The signs of the times were given so we would prepare for the coming bridegroom. Our prophet and apostles are telling us Now is the day. The bridegroom cometh. Unintentionally, the over cautious might cause people to feel the Bridegroom is far off (tarrieth) and they stop preparing and watching. I know you said we still need to prepare, but this will cause many to stop. There needs to be some caution, but I think over caution causes people to go way out of the way against the imminent return of Jesus Christ. Many of us made premortal promises to warn and encourage preparation.
Sometimes I wonder if some will not enter zion as in Moses Day.
did you realize Chapt 3 of 2 Thessalonians is mislabled in your slides as Chapter 1?
My 2 Thes doesn’t have a 1:13-14. 😂
That's because Bro. Halvorsen labeled ALL of the scripture slides in Chapter 3 as Chapter 1. It's probably the first mistake he ever made. LOL 🤣
And....the man of sin must first be revealed. Jesus aint comin back before then
