Worth. Every. Minute. And how amazing, to have Cesar join in and provide his insight! The two of you are adorable, and I feel like I learn at least twice as much with both of you navigating the music.
This was so much fun to watch, we've all been waiting for you to react to this masterpiece, but to have Cesar with you is beyond my wildest expectations! Yeah, I started off thinking, "Oh, boy, this is going to be quite a long reaction video," but the time just flew by! Everybody had been wondering just how that highest part was divided up, glad to get the 'inside scoop'. Earlier this week, during Voiceplay's livestream of filming of their latest video, Geoff seemed a bit depressed over the fact that the video wasn't getting the number of views they wanted, but I hope he takes some solace in the fact that the people who do watch it are completely blown away by his arrangement. Cesar, I do hope I get the chance to see you do that live someday!
@Julia Lou Yep, livestream was them filming a new video! They've been turning them out pretty quickly lately. I'm thinking that they may have it out for general release before the end of the month, at the latest at the very beginning of May. Pretty sure they will have the 'preview' video available for their patrons sometime this coming week. I have never even been tempted to join anyone's patreon before, but I am now a patron for Voiceplay, Geoff, and Patty Cake Productions. For Voiceplay, it is well worth it to me to pay to be able to see their live streams, so much fun!
I hope Geoff at least is taking consolation in how many views his newest solo is getting ("Ain't No Sunshine") -- 337k in 8 days. Compared to 220k for Dream On in two weeks. Home Free released a new one an hour after Dream On went live, and it's only at 150k views. All the reactors I've seen are indeed blown away by both of Geoff's arrangements - Dream On and Sunshine.
For me, if it were not VoicePlay doing this cover I would’ve passed by. I wasn’t doing a lot of music appreciation during the years at all those really loud groups were performing and I just never got into the whole screaming rock thing. )Well I did really love Janis Joplin if that shows my age and she was a screamer!) So perhaps it’s just the song because the arrangement actually appeals to me personally a lot more than the Aerosmith version. The lyrics are really really good and deserve to be heard. A lot of times overly loud instrumentation and screaming really take away from the lyrics.
@@janetdw Yep, screaming rock thing was never my thing either. Janis was an exception to the rule for me, too! Honestly, the only reason I knew this song when Voiceplay announced they were doing it was the fact that years ago, I saw a National Geopraphic documentary where they had a laryngoscope down Steven Tyler's throat to show how much damage he was doing to his vocal cords while singing the song.
I cannot believe that more people don't know the excellence that is Voice Play. They've put out numerous Grammy worthy videos in the last 12 months or so! Maybe once they get a fifth member they can start doing guest shots on TV and touring again! I think that would get their name out there more. Until then, I continue to share their videos on my social network pages! 💖

This was an absolute delight, and I agree with the other comments that said it does not feel like a 50-minute video. Mortius' analysis and (especially) reactions are fantastic and bring so much great insight. I love that Cesar got to provide commentary but is also watching as a startstuck fan of these artists despite working right alongside of them. And a HUGE appreciation to Mason because the editing on this is absolutely incredible. Thank you so much for the love that you put into this video. This was an absolute treat.

Interesting that Cesar didn’t know who arranged it. I had assumed that whoever did the arrangement basically was the director of the whole thing, so you’d have to know. I wonder how it actually does work. Cesar, if you read this, I love the way you are able to blend your voice with whoever you’re singing with. I would love to see you take the lead in a song sometime-your solos are always way too short for me. I always feel like you have so much more to show us. And the eyeliner look was FIERCE-good call!! 44:05 Did anyone yet pay attention to the bassline in this section? Of course, the high part is in focus, because it's absolutely fantastic. But I think, Geoff is going up with the harmony and then from the high note two octaves down! :o I know he has done this before, just wanted to point it out^^
I noticed! Took a couple listens because I was trying to figure out who was hitting the highest notes in the scream. One of the reactors discusses it rather than just points it out but I can’t remember which one.

HOW COOL!!! Hi Cesar. You are a great addition to VoicePlay. You talked Omar into it? This is a spectacular video, visuals and audio. A couple of times with you Cesar, I had flashbacks of 60 years ago when I had a gorgeous pinto black and white Shetland pony. Your hair in this video morphed into the thick heavy mane of that pony most often when you were sitting in the stairwell. I so enjoyed this, thanks to both of you Cesar and Mortius. Do it again - and again. Loved it guys. My day is never complete without VoicePlay occupying a good portion of my day. I noticed! Took a couple listens because I was trying to figure out who was hitting the highest notes in the scream. One of the reactors discusses it rather than just points it out but I can’t remember which one.

A couple of times with you Cesar, I had flashbacks of 60 years ago when I had a gorgeous pinto black and white Shetland pony. Your hair in this video morphed into the thick heavy mane of that pony most often when you were sitting in the stairwell. I so enjoyed this, thanks to both of you Cesar and Mortius. Do it again - and again. Loved it guys. My day is never complete without VoicePlay occupying a good portion of my day. And I love the enthusiasm Mortius brings, although to be fair I follow 20 or so reactors because I love watching the gobsmacked appearances they have when they hear you. Love you all. This is just fantastic. Lovely to see Cesar live this way, as he is in the behind the scenes videos. Speaking of which, we want to see Cesar dancing now in a video. It has to come. He's too good to not do it. I will never forget him doing the Single Ladies dance in chain mail. Truly. And the ballet. Ye gods. Mind blown. :) We the fans have assumed that the high notes were Cesar plus Omar, but clearly we were wrong. And yes, a very haunting ending.
