I have Toyota Premio x 1.8 2004. My cars crankshafts broke 3 times. I checked with my technician He examined all the parts related to crankshafts and fixed the problem, thr next day again the crankshaft rode bearings break there is a Tapping noise. If I drive again, the crankshaft rode bearings will break . Now my car is parked. There is VVTI Solenoid at top of the head cover. Sometimes i remove and rotate the VVTI solenoid the tapping sounds goes slow. Is this VVTI Solenoid has any effect on the crankshaft area. dont know what to do plz i need ur help. Remain blessed .
I just bought a used Lexus rx350 2007 for about USD6000 with 200k miles on d odometer, I've spent over USD1000 on regular maintenance n repairs, previous owner never paid much attention to details on d car n I have been noticing a rattling noise whenever I park d car overnight n start up d next day morning, d noise last about 30 sec to 1min every morning on first start up n somedays d rattling noise lasts lesser like 10secs to 20 secs. Took it to my local mechanic for check up n he suggested it's my crankshaft shaft going out so soon n m scared of rebuilding d engine, I plan on driving it till d cranshaft fall off or maybe not n hoping I can get maybe 2 years or more from it. Apart from regular oil change, what else can u suggest I do to achieve 2 years lifespan or more, while I prepare for another engine, thanks.
If u have an expert mechanic then u r lucky to rebuild the crankshaft otherwise u have to change half assembly. When u change half assembly check with again an expert technician to fix all the electrical wiring. Thank you
A faulty gearbox can result in difficulties or inconsistencies when shifting gears. If gears fail to engage properly, it can put additional stress on the gears and the components connected to the crankshaft. This increased stress can lead to excessive wear or damage to the crankshaft and its related components over time. When gears slip, the power transmission between the engine and the wheels is not efficient, and the crankshaft may experience sudden changes in load and speed. These fluctuations can cause stress on the crankshaft and potentially lead to premature wear or failure. A malfunctioning gearbox can contribute to excessive vibration within the drivetrain. Excessive vibration can impact the crankshaft and its bearings, potentially leading to accelerated wear and damage. If there are issues with the input shaft, such as misalignment or excessive play, it can affect the smooth operation of the crankshaft.
Excellent video. Paced perfectly and clearly for anyone to understand.

How can a gearbox affect the crank shaft and what's the solution

Loved it
So basically, operate and service your vehicle as specified by the manufacturer.
