What I love most about this is that if you take a band like Mumford and Sons (which this style reminds me of) it takes a whole group of people to create such a sound but Kim does it by himself! Such an incredible artist
my heart drowns in shame that i just discovered him. beautiful music, pierces through the very core of my soul. but what the heck with the dislikers? come on. i mean it's only 29 dislikers but still what the heck?
Saw him busking in Canberra - bus depot markets last week, full of passion. Also remember seeing him in the early days at Moruya markets on the South Coast and thought WOW.
keep coming back to this song. Kim, you're beyond anykind of amazingness that is in this world (I know this word probably doesn't exist but you get the point)
Kim you are a LEGEND, and an Inspiration to musicians, and artists, throughout the world. Thank you for sharing your gift, and your passion , Cheers!!!!! Rob
I can’t believe I was just a boy when you wrote “never give up on the strings” on my cover of the self titled. Truly a turning point in my life with music. Aye Kim, I’m still stringing my life away
Kim was just a kid from Bermagui when i first seen him play at the Majors Creek Music Festival. I heard him before i saw him & just had to have a look, to see where the great music was coming from.
I don't know you Kim, but your music (especially this song) strikes the deepest chord in me and makes me tear up... Literally can't take my eyes off you when you perform, its so heartfelt. Hope to see you live again soon! Good luck!!
speechless!! if only everyone could understand what you said through this song...best song I have heard so far in this year, and when I said it I really do mean it...just awesome man
You just gained a new Canadian fan! I saw your Playing For Change video (Loving Home) and I was so taken by that song that I had to hear more. I love your music!
Desde que vi este tema no pude dejar de seguir a Kim Churchill. Me parece uno de los mejores talentos y mensajeros de la musica que escuche en mi vida.
An old man's life is set in stone, And he learnt his lessons long ago So much had he seen of his life and his dreams that he knows to smile as he goes home, He'd seen lines etch into his face, And his smile had earned its years of grace Long gone were his friends, his foe met their ends and he knows to smile as he goes home, And I wish i had learned more, Oh listened a little harder to their stories Said seen in their eyes the light that they shine down, (???) He'd seen times of light and times of dark, But he'd shine, shine on in spite, He said for a gully is deep, As a mountain is high and you will find, Both have beauty and shine And I wish I had learned more, Oh listened a littler harder to their stories, Said seen in their eyes the light that they shine down He knew he would die soon and all would be still, Did not know his purpose or if it had been fulfilled, Maybe we're all living on till where dead, No meaning is given to the grass we are fed Maybe the light that he shone to the world Like each of us have like each animal beholds His life was spent now oh lighting up the dark, Like each of us can, we can all leave our mark Don't pity the old because their stories are told in the sun.
@burtinie there are things called foot pedals that you can change the sound of a guitar with. one of the features is an echoish sound that your hearing the hermonica make. instead of plugging the guitar into the foot peddal he plugges in a micrphone that he puts on the back of his harmonica. then he turns on the echo mode and he plays away creating that cool sound
***** he has one of those electronic drum pedals. watch his video of coded in concrete live in some barn can't remember but pretty easy to find on youtube :) peace brother
I've never wanted to be a harmonica so bad in my life

***** that is actually perfectly true! and i dig m.a.s aswell but truth cant be denied.
I was literally thinking he's making the guitar sound like the banjo from mumford and sons
my heart drowns in shame that i just discovered him. beautiful music, pierces through the very core of my soul. but what the heck with the dislikers? come on. i mean it's only 29 dislikers but still what the heck?
