Personally, I think this is one of the best songs on the album! The vocals and the violin part is insanely amazing! I have loved Evanescence for many years and will continue to do so proudly! Amy Lee's voice is beyond beautiful!

Amy is one of the few singers who can actually sing with an orchestra and have her voice get lost in the music. Like the best opera singers, her voice is an integral part of the score and if missing; it would feel incomplete. Adding Lindsy and her style of playing is an instrumental duet with Amy's voice. I expect nothing less from Amy when it comes to writing and scoring music. She is a perfectionist and as such; weaves in emotion into her music like none other.

Abby, you are correct about headphones bringing this to life. But it's because it was mixed on headphones, which sound different than speakers. I have a pro-quality speaker system in my house and her vocal here is somewhat buried in the mix. (I said somewhat!) Headphones change that. I lament that the modern mixing standard has gone away from speakers.
Huh.. Now I'm sad the fact that I lost my headphones..
@@lesizmor9079 I have a six speaker three channel (Right, Left, Center - intentionally without surround) plus mono sub and this crushed my heart the first time I heard it without headphones - then again you can feel the air move in front of the speakers when at volume with no perceptible distortion. Not saying my system is better than what anyone else has - it's just setup for maximum emotional damage =)

Techinically Hi-Lo was written 10yrs ago, but Amy never found a home for it till Synthesis, then during that 10yrs Lindsey Stirling started to make a name for herself. So honestly I'm grateful that Amy never found a home for it until now.

I saw these ladies on the Synthesis Tour three times and feel so privileged! I remain so impressed with Ev’s continued transformations and collaborations! Ev is my band forever and Amy my vocalist/songwriter!
Although it was written by Amy and Will long before the Synthesis tour, this song wasn’t included on an Ev album before the Synthesis tour. Lindsey’s contribution to it just made it phenomenal! I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to see them perform together on the Synthesis tour, but I still want to see Ev rock out live someday! Screw this pandemic!

15 years ago when i heared Amy's voice and fell in love with this band and explored a new music genre (rock) then i started to wear black putting the logo of Evanescence in every wall in my room ... I really feel nostalgia ... nice to listen to you again and i want more of masterpiece like this song .. alot of love from Egypt
This group fills my rocker/classical musician heart so well. The world doesn't have many groups anymore who sound like this, with people who can play instruments, sing, and combine different genres of music together in a beautiful swirling tangle of sound. I love this group so very much.
