- This series is all about characters in video games who's frightening levels of power in whatever way have left me in complete awe, be it a massive amount of Hit Points, colossal earth-shattering strength, the ability to survive a large boulder landing on their head, etc.
In the fourteenth episode, Kirby and his most powerful abilities are the stars. But which ability will be crowned the best?

I'd rate Hypernova Kirby above Crash. It's arguably available more easily, lasts until he leaves a level, and can inhale tanks, trees of Whispy's size, giant laser beams, and even health bars.
That's probably Kirby at full potential, I'd say.
And don't forget the part where he blasted a laser beam at Sectonia.
Its a game exclusive though.
Wheelie rider is sorta game exclusive, sure in star allies you can ride a wheelie, but the difficulty of the game is inexistant so there is better.
Yeah however that is a super/ engage ability, so it's not actually viable

The Master Hands are not the only way of obtaining the Smash ability. Swallowing 2 of those sleeping enemies at once grants a guaranteed 100% chance of getting the Smash ability, but only if you do NOT press any buttons while the roulette is rolling and let it stop on its own. This is best performed in Candy Constellation, where it has a room with at least 4 sleeping enemies sitting close to each other.
And I agree with you 110% about Kirby in Melee. He was nerfed BIG TIME in that game!
Also if you beat the game, you get room with all of the abilities except for ufo

Bcuz time in ganondorfs case he was like the literal last character only put in cause fan demand at the time at least and same thing kinda happens where weak characters are strong an example is Roy where the creator of melee pretty much admitted he had no clue who he was or how he attacked resulting in him being a stronger marth when Roy kinda is a marth with less defense and attack or that is how his stats is at least in fire emblem blazing swords case of Roy’s attack. Idk tho imma little too lazy to double check so take this at face value lol.

k cael I mean the creator of melee sakurai created Roy as a stronger version of marth to differentiate the two of them but he had no conception of how Roy fought since Roy’s design was made far before his own game fire emblem blazing sword. Meaning Roy in his game was not as defensive as he was perceived in melee or as slow.

Why do people never mention the Tornado Ability? Am I the only one who still thinks its the most insane ability in the Kirby Series? Squeak Squad, you bring back good memories...
It is GOOD but i have a hard time controlling it and there are abilities such as hammer that are just as easily found, can do EVEN MORE damage and you have complete control over 'em, the REAL good use for tornado is on flying bosses

I always favored Hammer myself. (Usually with an adorable Plasma helper, but that's besides the point.) The flaming attack, while unwieldy, is actually pretty strong - dealing 80 damage if I'm remembering correctly - and you can do quicker but still decent damage with normal strikes. You don't need another player, either. ^_^
6:20 I remember that you can press select to forfeit the ability but while kirby can inhale the star again swallowing it won't restore it.
Kirby's Crash attack always reminded me of Ultima from Final Fantasy VI

@@RegularFish2 Actually, he can escape black holes, but he usually takes more than a few scratches. Fight Marx from Kirby Super Star and Magolor from Kirby's Return to Dream Land and you'll see, assuming you're hit by their black hole attacks.

And even if your statement is true, surviving a damn black hole is absolutely insane and definitely justifies kirby of having infinite power

Since Meta Knight defeated Galaxia Knight, the most powerful warrior in the universe, that logically makes Meta Knight the most powerful being in the universe, and as Kirby has defeated him numerous times, that means Kirby is literally the most powerful organism that has ever existed. No contest.
Also, this reminds me of a contest the Official Nintendo Magazine did to find out who was the best ninja in gaming ever. Allow me to recount the final battle.

In Kirby: Right Back At Ya, he destroyed a music hall and a collection of villains specifically designed to defeat him within the span of a few seconds, with his singing voice. The evidence all points to Kirby being the most powerful thing ever. That little pink blob is as awesome as it gets :D

Kirby, the most powerful character ever do to his abilities to ride random wheel people.
I'd say the most OP ability in the series is definitely Squeak Squad's Cutter (as well as cutter in later games). The fact that you can control the blades makes them SO versatile, in fact, SO versatile that they're the only ability in the series that had to be NERFED (going from constant giant blades, to charging for giant blades...I don't remember how it worked in Triple Deluxe though). They may not have wrecked enemies as quickly as Wheelie Rider, but Cutter is a staple in every Kirby game, and went from the worst ability in Super Star and Crystal Shards, to the best ability in Squeak Squad, and is one of the first abilities you come across.
But honestly, I thought you were going to say "Gordo Spikes" as despite ALL those powers Kirby has, Gordo to this day is the ONE enemy Kirby has yet to defeat (you could count Shotzos, but Kirby can make them fall to pits in some areas and completely useless. Gordos can float indefinitely, block paths, and move way faster than Kirby), and is the ONE enemy that when Kirby steals his power (Kirby 64, Needle + Bomb) Somehow Kirby's version is FAR worse. Even King Dedede figured to use them in Brawl and Smash 4.

I have mostly only played Kirby Super Star (or whatever it is called), and the ability that I have used to consistantly win in the arena is the one that turns Kirby into a rock or statue.

Hey, you also forgot that kirby has enough stamina to dig through the planet in a matter of seconds, as seen in one of the amazing mirror sub games.

Personally, I Kirby in melee was one of my top choices for the non-pvp challenges. His recovery float-puffs are very forgiving, the rock move is great for dodging timed dangers without expending shield, and his signature suck/blow made for good crowd control. A good alternative to Yoshi.
Entertaining as always, although my favourite part is the two gratuitous Tails abuse moments. Classy.
The ability i love to use the most in the arena in Kirby Super Star is "Suplex".
When you catch a projectile with it and throw it at a boss just right, they take a huge amount of damage, plus Kirby is invincible while doing so.
When you realize Kirby can destroy a bigass meteor, which means he could of one shotted galeem and dharkon.
Kirby is not just one of the most powerful characters in gaming. He is the be all end all Elder god of gaming. The true settler of all playground arguments.

I can't have been the only one to think the ability was gonna be Rock. I mean, you're invincible when you use it, and, from memory, you do decent damage.
Believe me, I've tried to use Rock against the arena loads of times, but it's just too slow and awkward to use a lot of the time. Wheelie Rider requires much less effort.

So ProJared gets his Nuzlocke death sound effect from the Boss explosion sound effect in Kirby Fun Pak! Now I know! I use the Starfox 64 Smart Bomb sound effect.
Keep in mind this is only what Kirby is capable of as a baby. Imagine how powerful he will become when he is fully grown.

I accidently deleted my gameplay file for Kirby's Adventure. So luckly (from days of watching glitch videos) I made a new one, used infinate UFO, and got back in ten minutes.
Archer in Triple Deluxe really was OP if you knew how to use it. By using the Camouflage, absolutely nothing can hit you. Just wait for the boss to be open and attack, they quickly hide again. Not gonna get a fast score, but I beat both Arenas with only it. Only boss that gave me problems was Pyribbit and the later True Arena forms. The funny thing is they had to nerf it if you use it in Kirby Fighters. Guess a Kirby isn't fooled easily xp
Spark was a bit OP in RtD. I could keep a good, painless rhythm moving the wiimote and Kirby with Nunchuck, and always have that shield up or shoot it for good damage.
the wheel is faster. constantly turning left and right makes you bounce with invincibility frames and does damage. harder to use, but it is faster and i am impatient
On the subject of powerful characters, what do you think of Alucard in Symphony of the Night? Lots of broken weapons there.
I actually didn’t know about this trick with Wheelie; reminds me of the co-op exclusive attacks you can do in Kirby Star Allies and Kirby’s Return to Dreamland, modern Kirby games that emphasize multiplayer! For the longest time, Hammer was my go-to Ability for power since that flaming uppercut is devastating and only requires one player to use, despite the Wheelie stars outclassing it. If I could do this in Super Star Ultra, do you think I’d be able to beat my best time in True Arena? My personal best is just under 5 minutes with Hammer.

Ah, Wheelie Rider. I remember when I love to choose the Wheelie Bike in Kirby Air Ride. I didn't expect Wheelie Rider Kirby to be very effective in Kirby Super Star.

My ranking is simple for Kirby Powers.
Number 3 is Mike, which is essentially Crash with three uses
Number 2 is Robobot Armor, which can become a large drill and copy Copy Abilities (though only, like, 13)
Number 1 is none other than Star Allies Sparkler with the Three Mage Sisters. Three Mage Sisters lets you use (if changed to the right sister) all three elements, and Star Allies Sparkler is the final power of the game, used to defeat the Dark Lord, Void Termina (who is possibly a god)
I'd argue that hammer is the best ability in the series and slightly better than Wheelie bike Kirby since hammer is an ability found in every title where Kirby has copy abilities, can deal 160 damage against Computer Virus in one turn with two up+b attacks, readily available from any Bonkers miniboss you find, and is almost as agile as the sword ability. True Arenas these days would be an even bigger pain in butt to master if that ability wasn't around.

Even though copy is hit or miss, its specifically made for player 2. Tac is a bit op on helper to hero with the whole punch and cover. Not on subject any play the witches house? Or read the diary of ellan?
I remember beating arena with the rock. I'd fly above the bosses, then turn into an invincible rock. I'd damage them while being completely safe from harm. Kirby also became a Mario and a David statue at one point.
Given how Kirby can absorb the powers of nearly all his enemies it's odd that when people think of a character who uses his enemy's powers they tend to think of Megaman.
I guess it has to do with three factors. Megaman came before Kirby, and the fact, that the stages and robot masters can be quite tough, so it feels well earned to get the weapons from them. Plus the weapon rock-paper-scissors is exciting to experiment about, while Kirby rarely get such things. (Star allies is the only game, where bosses were vulnerable to specific elements.)
Clearly the Demi-fiend from SMT needs to be on this list somewhere.

whoisthisgit i found a glicth in sonic 3 and knuckles. In marble garden zone, act 1 sortly after the beggining of the act, you will see a wheel of three platforms, use it to go to the other side. If you will keep going, you will find the drill boss and then as soon as he starts to enter the ground and the earthquake will start, immetiadly go to the left. If you will do it right, the earthquake will never stop until you will do this sequence :
1)enter a special stage
2)enter a bonus stage
3)lose a life
4)activate the spin dash switch
5)destroy a face statue which is firing bows at you
6)encounter again the drill boss somewhere else in the act or in the end of the act
I probably just suck with super star, but I swear that game actively tries to kill you with cheap hits
You missed one detail about UFO. It is unlimited in Mouse Attack without any glitches.

I think this video was great but don't you need 2 players to fully max the potential of the wheel-buddy ability? For a 2 player power up then yes I agree that the wheel-buddy ability is a strong ability, but I think if you want to play the games by yourself then I think that the tornado ability is the strongest. This ability makes you invincible while your a tornado, and you damage enemies quite easily. And in squeak squad, you are able to freeze or burn enemies if you are on snow (or ice) or lava. But all in all, this video was great! :)
Gameplay recommended for shooter fanatics?
I've once met someone who honestly thought Kirby was at his best in Melee. I have no idea why either. In the new Smash, I only find him okay-ish in 1 on 1, but where he really shines for me is in Team Battles. He can also easily wreck people who don't use Little Mac properly but still pick him because they believe he's OP. (Although I can do it even better with Samus)
Finally, I'm surprised you haven't mentioned Hypernova Kirby. Sure, it suffers from availability issues like most other very powerful abilities, but dang. :P
***** Because his best option back then was to inhale and try to take his opponent along with him offstage. The vast majority of his attacks had pitiful knockback. His dash attack was one of those and it didn't even stop near a cliff, which meant that it was ridiculously easy to get a Self-Destruct if you weren't careful. You know, because putting such a huge risk on an attack so weak is totally worth it, right ?
Also, Melee's combat engine which had much higher gravity just wasn't suited for his floaty fighting style in general.
The most glaring problem with Kirby which is still following him today is that he lacks a readily available fast projectile, though. (And not even a way to counter or reflect those coming from the opponent)
Also, in star allies he can launch asteroids THOUSANDS OF LIGHT YEARS AWAY!! Also, he destroyed countless planets because he was looking for a slice of cake

If you were going to do a fire emblem character I'd say seth or Titania or hell a lot of the characters from FE 4 would be candidate. Fredrick is good but pretty much every character in FE awakening can be overpowered the best being avatar or morgon

In case you want to know, Fredrick is a Jaegen archetype, what does that mean?
A "Jaegen" archetype is named after a character from the first Fire EMblem game with the same name, in Fire Emblem 1 (and it's remake) there was a super-powerful paladin named Jaegen, but to balance him out he had amazing stats early on, but he became USELESS in the late-game.
Fredrick is a Jaegen, literally ANY other character in Awakening is a better candidate than Fredrick.
stefanfr13 I'm pretty sure Fredrick is an Oifey archetype not a Jaegen. And fredrick is pretty much mandatory to use on Lunatic and Lunatic plus so he isn't as bad as you'd think.
FE13 is a really obvious choice, I'd personally choose Lewyn from FE4 for this series. Holy carp, this guy can dodge all attacks and dish out some punishment!
Kajuker Pretty much everyone who can hold a holly weapon could be chosen from. But I'd say Lewns sons who can hold forrsetti would be more candidate than leywn himself. Arthur is essentially leywn but when he promotes he becomes leywn on a horse. Ced is most popular because Ced basically can most likely double because of pursuit and have a high crit bonus and his speed from his parents are so awesome it loops over.
This is probably bias because I think this character looks so cool as a black paladin but aless with the mystletainn can absolutely wreak everything because of how often he gets crits with that weapon, plus he has a really high res stat for a unit at that time and for a cavalier unit in general.

In Super star ultra (since i don't have any friends who also own the game that live close by) HAMMER is the way to go in arena.
Reactor Is Only Damaged By Laser But Stars Dont Do Damage
Too bad the Wheelie Rider trick would be even harder to pull off alone in Kirby Super Star Ultra, since you'd need two DSes, two copies of the game, ect. (And I don't think DS emulators can emulate link play yet.)
If playing ultra version there's ,,The TRUE Arena" which i reccomend getting ,,Hammer Bros Tactic": take hammer create bonkers and take hammer again. And every ,,True" boss is like sh*t
In terms of single player only the hammer ability at least in Superstar is the most powerful. On the Computer Virus I destroyed the first form in 2 hits with 2 hammer strikes. The only problem with Hammer Kirby is he has limited range. The most powerful ability seems to vary from game to game. In Superstar it was hammer. Return To Dreamland had Spark. Squeak Squad had Tornado. So yeah it varies from game to game.
