When I watched this on TV, I actually thought that it was going to be Jack!
I didn’t know anything about this until I saw quiet on the set. It’s awful that Dan Schneider made these kids do this. I don’t know why Nickelodeon didn’t tell Dan Schneider he can’t do this anymore

As a kid I had no idea how much acting was involved in on air dares…. And even though this one looks real, and she genuinely looks pissed, the squid stuck in her hair looks fake.
It was staged but the realism varied. Lisa spilled the beans that when she had the chew used gum dare, the gum was actually mashed up Starburst but such a massive amount of Starburst all at once is still going to make you salivate like crazy. Gio mentioned that the liver and clam smoothie was actually a chocolate smoothie but was still a serious issue for her because she has a chocolate allergy.
Some dares were totally real. When Jack had to the put the scorpion in his mouth (for example), that was just real. With hindsight as our homie, that's concerning because if the scorpion's tail had gotten in his mouth too, that could have turned into an ordeal worse than anything that Sokka (who Jack voiced) has ever faced in ATLA

I think that's the same shower Kyle was in when he was sprayed by maple syrup and then rolled in human hair.

Honestly, this one was one of the less controversial On-Air Dares. As disgusting as it was, at least the animals involved were already dead, and on top of that, they're an animal that's commonly used as food.

It would of been funny if Chelsea asked and i quote can I go take a shower and jack said you just did why jack you ask because in the first season he took a bath with thousands of worms and he also asked to take a shower and Chelsea why you just had a bath you know its like him getting back at her
So they gave Chelsea a swimsuit when she did the sour milk and used bandages dare, but they just gave her a light blue gown for this one?
