- Hey dudes! This song is from the film "Sonic Prologue" produced and directed by Doryan Nelson. I made this song, which is a ReMix and rearrangement from Sonic R, for one of the scenes in the film. The brilliant vocals were done by LadyWildfire!

This popped up in my reccomended, and reminded me of when I watched Sonic Prologue years ago.
I miss being a kid, but man does this remind me of how awesome it was
Sonic R is often overlooked because it's just a simple racing game, but honestly it had one of the best Soundtracks before the Adventure era. I still treasure the memories i have playing the game on my Sega Saturn ^_^

The only modern game that did have a song for the game that i can think of
gens was like the rare occasion where a sonic game doesnt really have an iconic theme for it. unleashed had endless possibilities, colors had reach for the stars, forces had fist bump, black knight had knight of the wind, gens had, nothing notable.

I was feeling nostalgic listening to this, thinking about how I would watch Sonic Prologue as a kid, but then Sanic just randomly appears for a frame at the lyric "come" 💀
This song hit me like a train I remember that sonic amv of it and when I heard this I immediately starting crying cause of how old and good is this

Disagree original had better lyrics it went with all the songs told a story from begining to end this version while nice removes the love that the song was supposed be about

Aside from that painful "Where we'll feel alright" and that random line about enemies the lyrical tweaks were pretty decent and do a lot to clear up the lyrics of the original song.
Seriously though, that "Feel alright" bit was cringe inducing. Especially since it doesn't quite gel with he un-altered line afterwards. I would have gone with something like "Where the sun will shine, and we don't have to worry" or "Leave your fears behind, 'cause we don't have to worry." Something that would have lead into the second line more cleanly.
But hey, it's already long gone and done so it's a moot point.
Ninetails2000 Good point on that front! I really left Doryan (the director) and Wildfire (the vocalist) in charge of lyrical direction. I'm glad that I'm not just sitting in an echo chamber of "this is perfect zomg" though. criticisms are super helpful for artist growth. :) Thanks a bunch.

Honestly... I find this just "meh". Not bad, just not really my thing. Namely, the autotune and some of the parts where the vocal fry becomes very noticeable. ("but it's still not cleeearrrr", "have I been here befooooore")
I don't mean any disrespect, but there's something about the singing that just doesn't click with me. I can't quite put my finger on why it feels so off. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the original.
The music itself is the best part though. Very well done.
Of course this is years after the fact, and it doesn't really matter anymore. At least I don't hate this like I used to when I was younger and overly judgemental.

The original score by TJ Davis is the best but this version would make a good theme song if they did a reboot. I like them both. They both expressed how I feel about my childhood and the 90's. hate the 2000's.
