Hypnotic Poison is definitely very soft, feminine fragrance, which I only wear at home. I just layered it with Cacharel Yes I am and together they smell intoxicating! Love this combo.
This video was extremely helpful for me, thank you for making it. Didn’t know about heliotropes being able to smell like almond notes. Dior Pure Poison and Dior Hypnotic Poison were perfumes that my mom wore so I always avoided them. I can’t deny I really like them though and have always preferred an almond note in all my fragrances. Now I even prefer the same gemstones she does. Desperately not trying to be my mother but still having very similar tastes as her 😂
Same here 😄. My mother's loves are J'adore Dior, Chanel Allure, La Vie Est Belle Lancome, Estee Lauder Pleasures. Over the years, I've tried to avoid them. Come 2023, not me buying entire gift sets for myself! I love them. I appreciate her test in scents now that I'm older.

I wish it was super creamy and heavy almond on me! I love it but it’s more sheer and not very creamy on my skin. I really want something like Eau my secret- which at first I couldn’t smell anything but powder. Then it bloomed for me! I love it but I want something more dense so I need to track down Lei and manifesto

Almond can be done so many diffrent ways, so not sure if I do enjoy it 😅 I have noticed it can give me that Hypnotic poison play doh scent, when it's mixed with sandalwood/ heliotrope/tonkabean, which I don't like 😄. Happy to see you back on here 🥰🥰🥰

Fresh, citrus, fruity florals were my first love. But when I sniffed hypnotic poison i discovered a new love and appreciation for the almond accord. Hypnotic poison and Rolling in love are at the top of my wishlist. They are soooo lovely! Another two I want to test are “this is her” and “sintra”.

Some of my fav almondy discoveries so far have been: Guerlain Mon Precieux Nectar, Carner Barcelona Tardes, Bastille Parfums Un Deux Trois Soleil. I recently sampled Reminiscence Dragee and loved it and now I want to try Heliotrope from the line. I also tested Veronique Gabai Souvenirs de Tunisie this past weekend and thought it was lovely, though I wished it lasted longer on my skin. I am excited to try Acqua di Parma Mandorlo di Sicilia which will arrive later this month as one of my Scentbird choices.

So grateful to have you back! ❤ Forbidden for Woman by Police is something you can give a shot as it's very much inspired by Hypnotic Poison EDT and lasts well but is synthetic. Also, Dior Poison Girl EDP isn't continued. I wrote to Dior earlier & they've officially confirmed that it's still in production. Hope this helps. 😇💕🌻

Great video. You're the first one to make a video on almonds! My favorite and best performing almond scent is Initio High Frequency. I also have Lumiere Blanche but I have trouble smelling it. It disappears so fast and has no projection
@@CharlotteRossx I sold Luminere Blanche after a week. I've smelled thousands of fragrances over the years I own hundreds; and it was one of the worst performers I've ever encountered. ZERO projection and about 2 hours as a skin scent. Shame because it's verry unique and smells great if you inhale your skin into your nostrils to smell it 😄. If you want something that reminds you of the cold (which is what luminere blanche was trying to accomplish) try Frederick Malle L'Eau D'Hiver and Zoologist Snowy Owl.
Thank you for this amazing list! I wanted to share that Armaf Eternia is a great very long lasting affordable version of Dior Poison Girl EDP. I love its price and it’s lasting power as I’ve been disappointed in Dior’s for the price. And La Rive Fleur de Femme is an inexpensive little gem of this same Dior Girl and actually has a bit more tonka and slightly more refined fragrance than the Armaf (the Armaf out performs it for lasting a bit )for those on a budget w/ bougie taste. I’ve struggled a bit w/ my Italica but I’ll keep trying… it’s very very … which is my vibe. I’m just not sure why I don’t swoon over it. I won’t give up on her 😂❤️.

Hypnotic Poison frustrates me... I love the smell but it doesn't las at all I wanted it to be my signature scent but I mean even skin scents last more than Hypnotic poison 😅 even my soap bar smell more potent and last more than Hypnotic poison and for the price, not a good choice 😔

As much as I love Almond fragrances… I hate that I don’t love Italica. The almond note is way to synthetic for me… it gives off a more plastic note than sweet almond on me. Great video as usual and thanks for sharing
lovely video as always! I have two more really nice almond perfumes that i enjoyed a lot: by Les Infusions De PRADA, AMANDE and by REMINISCENCE the HELIOTROPE. The second was a pleasant surprise since it's alot affordable and has a beautifull bottle too 🥰

I love hypnotic poison and saw/heard that Tiziana Terenzi Lince was very similar. I blind bought it due to a really good deal. It’s not similar- at all really. Only similarity is the powdery aspect of them both.

I have the Burberry Brit edp and it’s super heavy, creamy almond on the dry down. It’s delicious! I wear it just for the dry down

Hypnotic Poison frustrates me... I love the smell but it doesn't las at all I wanted it to be my signature scent but I mean even skin scents last more than Hypnotic poison 😅 even my soap bar smell more potent and last more than Hypnotic poison and for the price, not a good choice 😔

As much as I love Almond fragrances… I hate that I don’t love Italica. The almond note is way to synthetic for me… it gives off a more plastic note than sweet almond on me. Great video as usual and thanks for sharing

lovely video as always! I have two more really nice almond perfumes that i enjoyed a lot: by Les Infusions De PRADA, AMANDE and by REMINISCENCE the HELIOTROPE. The second was a pleasant surprise since it's alot affordable and has a beautifull bottle too 🥰

La Rive has a dupe for hypnotic poison, I think it's called Sweet Hope. Haven't tried it so can't speak to performance. It is under $10USD.

I love hypnotic poison and saw/heard that Tiziana Terenzi Lince was very similar. I blind bought it due to a really good deal. It’s not similar- at all really. Only similarity is the powdery aspect of them both.
Did you end up liking Lince? Like as its own fragrance I mean? I really enjoy it myself, but I agree that it's not quite the same as Hypnotic Poison. Thank you for sharing and being here Cat!

I layer Hypnotic Poison EDT with the body cream. I get more projection and longevity that way. It's lovely quality as well and almost always on sale somewhere.
